Hey guys-- Battlefield 4 itself is amazing on both PS3 and PS4, but the cheapest way to get BF4 on PS4 is to buy this PS3 version, and then use the voucher code inside to upgrade to the PS4 digital version for just £10. As of writing, that means you can get BF4 on PS4 for £35 total when buying the PS3 blu-ray version instead of buying the PS4 blu-ray version here on Amazon for £47.

Now back to playing Battlefield 4...

Going back to BF3!

This game crashes all the time & is so bug ridden it should be called Bugfield 4!

This multiplayer game play is very laggy & you get shot through walls etc!

Had it for almost a year & still not fixed! A real shame! If it ever gets fixed I would consider upgrading to Premium, but it
looks like that's never going to happen at this rate!

Very difficult to give feedback to EA & Dice!

I'm fed up with waiting for a fix so have crossed over to COD Ghosts Hardened Edition instead. (COD Advanced Warfare looks too bug ridden at present).

The game has a lot of potential. Dice & EA should be ashamed!

I was holding off buying this game until i got my PS4 but I saw it in the black friday deals and decided to go for it and upgrade later. As BF3 players on PS3 know, the player count is scaled down from 64 on PC and next gen consoles to 24, which resulted in some boring games on larger maps, and the player count for BF4 is the same. However the multiplayer maps released so far are fine for the smaller player count and as a result the game is still fun on PS3. There is a lot more depth in the leveling up system this time around as well. As for the campaign, I can't really say to much as i've only played 2 missions so far, which were relatively good, but lets face it, Battlefield games are all about the multiplayer. All in all I'd say that this game is an improvement on Battlefield 3, although there are some annoying freeze issues when transitioning between matches (I've had this about 3 times in the 10hours I've played mmultiplayer so far). I think I will enjoy this game until finally upgrading early next year to next gen.

Right lets start with the good bits! I have always loved the battlefield series period! and have never had a single problem from the original Bad Company to Battlefield 3, I read a lot of write ups about Battlefield 4 which I thought at the time were a bit on the harsh side (fore warned is fore armed as the saying goes) so I thought what the hell and bought a copy which duel y arrived and like all the other Battlefield series looked very good packaging wise! that's the good part? the rest I am sad to say is that this is just pure rubbish, its also hard to know were to begin there is just so many issues with this game from freeze framing to crashing and stopping when getting into the thick of the action, I cant tell you how many times I have had to return to the beginning to start all over again! so take my advise save your money and don't bother with this game! (mind you Mine craft looks quite tempting) you might get more action out of that game, but be warned you must be accompanied by 6-7 year olds first.

Good game as the previous Battlefields were. Initially this game had so many bugs in it, it was almost unplayable at times. There was one point where I was half way through a single player campaign and had to start from scratch as where I was respawning, none of the movement controls worked, I couldn't go anywhere! This was the most annoying of a few bugs. At the time of writing this review EA have released a number of game updates and I haven't noticed any bugs for at least a month or two. If you were waiting for the bugs to be sorted then I would say that now is a good time to buy.

I waited for the reviews before buying bat 4. I then waited for the price to plummet before buying. I can now add my review of this game and its quite simply THE worst game I have played for quite a while, glitches every where, very short and no playability or enjoyment what so-ever. I will go as far to say single player is crap. Why do people buy games that are unfinished when released, If you find the game full of problems then why not return the game as not fit for purpose, perhaps then the companies will get the message and produce a good quality product. I stopped buying new games because of the issues, I do not believe they are value for money. glad I only paid 8 quid for this trash.

I've played bf3 a lot...and I mean a lot...normally I'd get bored of a game after a few months or so, but bf3 kept me playing it for considerable amount of time (like 6 months +) without playing another game, but after reading reviews etc, I thought I'd give bf4 a try....and meh....

Pros
- lots more weapons and vehicles
- new perks, gadgets
- different campaign (but feels like the old medal of honour games on the ps2 where you're part of a 4 man team who end up in deep behind enemy lines)
- different maps
- ability to change clothes, and the like
- new radio functions (you can send preset messages to your team like "Affirmative" or "go go go")
- ability to order your team to fire at the enemy (isn't that what they're supposed to do?)

Cons
- feels more and more like COD as you can add perks which, for example, allow you to be invisible to motion detection thingys
- different controls to bf3...annoying but you'll get used to them
- the HUD, for me, is too clulted
- harder to make out enemies in the distant than to bf3 (maybe that's me...)
- campaign is boring...very linear and reminds me of medal of honour...as I've said...
- noticed quite a few bugs...like on campaign, tanks have no engine noise..
- little icons both single and multiplayer, like choosing class when deploying online

Overall...I prefer bf3, it was simpler, good storyline and missions, well developed weapons etc and online...everyone has basic weapons and gadgets....not these arty farty perks that enable you to be invisible to something or other...

I've given it 4 stars because it IS a very good game, the only problem is I am now stuck on the "destroy the dam" level and cannot progress due to a jumping bug on the ladder part. I thought at first it was just me, but I've looked on Youtube and loads of websites for hints, spend at least 4 hours trying and failing to jump the ladder.
Even so, this game is a very good game besides the numerous bugs and glitches.
I've only started using Battlefield since the beginning of the year and it is a fantastic series (Been into MOH since a young age, and recently COD), this game IS good, but I think I'll stick to BF3 and even BC/BC2.
