This review is from: Jawbone Mini JAMBOX Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker - Blue Diamond (Electronics)
The Jawbone Mini Jambox is the (more) portable sibling of Jawbone Jambox and Jawbone Jambox Big Wave. Supposedly this should fit in your pocket, but this will depend on the size of your pocket...

In a specification that seems to be left out of the above product description it's dimensions are 6 inches length, 1 inch width and 2.25 inches height. Please see the picture I have added for the size comparison between this and the other models.

Stemming from a trend that seems to have been started by the Apple (like most trends these days), and more recently hijacked by the neo-beats generation, a spectrum of pastel coloured alternatives are available: 'Silver Dot', 'Aqua Scales', 'Blue Diamond', 'Graphite Facet', 'Purple Snowflake' or 'Red Dot'.

Purple Snowflake?...According to Jawbone, "With multiple colors and designs, how your MINI JAMBOX looks says just as much as what you play through it"...personally I am always a little sceptical if an item of electronics seems overly concerned with style and looks.

In the box you get a 24" (0.61m) Micro-USB charging cable, 36" (0.91m) 3.5mm stereo cable and the Quick Start Guide. There is also a Jawbone app that you can download. The device has an integrated microphone so it can be used as a wireless speaker phone (quite handy at home). The battery supposedly lasts up to 10 hours but you should get around 8 hours with a decent volume output. It's wireless connectivity spans 33 feet.

Whilst I was initally put off by its peacock-esque fashion show it appears to be of impeccable build quality built out of one piece of aluminium and weighing just 9 ozs. The disappointment is that whilst the sound is more than adequate at low to mid volumes it struggles when it gets loud and there is significant distortion that may annoy audiophiles. The quality does not match Jawbone's larger models. This is a common problem with the bluetooth speakers these days and my best recommendation to make (and this goes for all electronics in general) is to try this before you buy it! Compare it against some other competitors in store. For sure it is worth considering but £150 is a lot of money so you want to be sure that you are getting what you want.

And always remember, beautiful things don't look for attention... (I stole that from the walter mitty film....)
