5.0 out of 5 stars i love these men!
book 6 in the McKinnon legends sees a shift from the Seabridge men to the American men, and a seamless shift it is too!

Robert appears in a previous book, but this is his story. when his best friend is found murdered, Robert has to deal with Kyle's little sisiter, Katherine. only she aint so little any more, and Robert gets that sucker-punch to the belly "MINE"...

It's a good read, but.....Not as good as the previous books in The McKinnon Legends series. I will download the next book, as I do find Ranay James to be an excellent author.

book 6 in the McKinnon legends sees a shift from the Seabridge men to the American men, and a seamless shift it is too!

Robert appears in a previous book, but this is his story. when his best friend is found murdered, Robert has to deal with Kyle's little sisiter, Katherine. only she aint so little any more, and Robert gets that sucker-punch to the belly "MINE" very early in the book. Katherine, or Kate, or Katie-bug, depending on what mood Robert is in, is in dire straights with nothing and no one to rely on, but Robert. but she doesnt want to. however, when her life is threatened, she has to deal with Robert, an old flame and some legend about lost gold on her land.

i love how we watch Robert deal with this sucker-punch, and his love for Katherine. Katherine has a mouth on her and is not afraid to use, making me laugh out loud in many a place. BUT the thing i love the most, is this book goes back to the beginning. there is no descriptive sex screens, is all inferred, and leaves you, the reader, to fill in the blanks, just like with Nic and Morgan's story. there is no actual time travel by the main characters, but Gage does that for Robert, and its all based in the States. i would like to have seen some of the old characters appear in this book, but just a passing mention, but i understand why they dont appear.

one thing, though, Ms James....shifter DNA????? i hope that will be explained in a later book!
