5.0 out of 5 stars Petite & Cute
Great little item and once you have bought one you will probably want to buy more of them to have a little set. They are tiny and perfect for one small meal. One pot holds exactly one cup. So if you try making a stew you may find it a little difficult depending on your ingredients. I have reviewed some in different colours so will just say that I use them every day and I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Made in China
Love the look of these dishes but am very dissapointed to find that they are made in China. Are they up to the usual standard of lead free le creuset, it has been impossible to find out. Having read reviews on Amazon.com many people are unhappy that they are paying full price for what was always a French produced product. It's a shame that there is no guarantee of...

Great little item and once you have bought one you will probably want to buy more of them to have a little set. They are tiny and perfect for one small meal. One pot holds exactly one cup. So if you try making a stew you may find it a little difficult depending on your ingredients. I have reviewed some in different colours so will just say that I use them every day and I am very happy to have them. I find then very handy for portion control too. The fact that you are able to use them in the oven, microwave, dishwasher and even the freezer is a bonus too. Very nice to give as a gift but I would say one would be silly, it is more suitable to have a set of them. They are expensive for the size but worth saving to treat yourself, especially if you are thinking of using them for portion control. They seem so luxurious compared to other little bowls and are really nice to look at too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smaller than you would expect, 4 Jan 2008
By
Tom Douglas "TD" (Marlow) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (VINE VOICE)
These mini casseroles are great and a real talking point when to serve straight from the oven to your guests' own place mats.

They are robust and well made with lovely detailing, and happily go in the freezer and through the dishwasher, although I usually cook things that defeat my dishwasher and end up in the sink.

The only issue is that these are a little smaller than you expect - around 9ish cm inside at the top, and this is smaller when you see it than you imagined - and are fine for starters and desserts, but too small for a main course, except as a very stylish side.

Four stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small Lidded Casserole Dish for Individual Portions, 22 Oct 2010
By

(No. 1 Hall OF FAME REVIEWER)    (TOP 50 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
These are very small lidded casserole dishes that are slightly bigger than ramekins. They can therefore be used to cook and serve individual portions of food elegantly at the dinner table, with the added touch that the lid helps to keep things warm as well as being decorative.

I first came across these at my favourite local restaurant and have been happily turning out individual meals in them ever since.

As I have come to expect from Le Creuset, each lidded dish is well made and washes well, whether by hand or in the dishwasher.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dinky little dish for one!, 7 Jun 2007
LE CREUSET Petite Round Casserole Dish/Mini-Cocotte in STONEWARE.

COLOUR : GRADED BLUE

* Base diameter : 8 cm, flaring gently out to 9.75 cm top diameter
* Overall width : 13.5 cm wide (including handles)
* Approximate depth : 4.5 cm
* Approximate capacity : 0.25L

LE CREUSET embossed on the lid and on the unglazed external base.

Useful little lidded dish to serve an individual hot or cold starter/pud in, or an oven baked:-

* Casserole
* Soufflé
* Cottage Pie
* Macaroni Cheese
* Chilli Mince......

......or simply dip!

These dinky little 'pots' are really easy to use and clean up, although sometimes a short soak and a rub with a plastic brush is required for those more stubborn baked-on food remains.
I have a number of these dishes in various colours and none have faded despite years of use/dishwasher cleaning.

Comes complete with a mini booklet of multi-lingual use & care instructions for the 'Le Creuset Petite Round Casserole, in STONEWARE: 10cm/4"/0.25L/8oz'
Le CREUSET STONEWARE cannot be used on direct heat.

I just love these little petite Le Creuset casseroles - and especially the Dijon colour of this particular one. I use all of my petite casseroles constantly. Either for individual jelly's, stuffing, left overs in the fridge and freezer, individual mini cottage pies, baked apples - the list is never ending! Such useful items to have in a kitchen and they look so atractive too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rose casserole, 12 Jun 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The rose casserole is a beautiful colour and a good size if you are cooking for one or want to use it for sauces etc. As a single person I use it a lot to cook small portions or vegetables/fruit in the oven. Perfect for oven to table! I use it in the fridge too to save left overs!
