I raced through this terrific book. Two strong, complex characters trying to cope with loss have a mystery to solve. They also have to work out what they want from life and how to get it. The story, spiced with wit and humour, had me enthralled from beginning to end. This was even better than Claire Moss's first book, Northern Soul Revival (worth getting hold of if you haven't read it). The third one should be a cracker.

This book, Claire Moss's second novel, will grip you from the first page. It is both a love story and a mystery, written with wit and insight. The two main characters are well drawn and you feel immediate involvement and sympathy with their respective situations. Supporting characters are also realistic and believable. Cleverly plotted, this is a brilliant second novel from this author that will have you hoping for more - and soon!

I laughed out loud at this fantastically gripping novel about as many times as I cried at the terrible loss and grief that is a theme running throughout for both main characters. I read it in record timing and could not put it down, I found by the end that I really cared about what happened to these very believable characters and almost wished I could go and visit them and see if they were ok now. Felt very sad to have finished this book but I am eagerly awaiting this fantastic author's third novel, even if it is just half as good as her first two have been. Loved it, five stars!

There are one or two clever twists in the mystery running through this love story. A well thought out plot written alternately in the first person by the two main characters moves along at just the right pace, interspersed with shafts of deft and well observed humour.

I started reading this on my wife's kindle and wouldn't give it her back, what an enthralling book. The author weaves a tightly knit plot with a storyline that keeps you hanging in there. I recommend it highly.
