Almost a step back
on 10 November 2013
While yes, the tracks are good, they're not much more than that. The mixing comes into questions with Pip's vocals barely being heard over Le Sac's thumping beats, only sounding crisp on the two tracks that stand out, Stunner and Gold teeth which they seem to know and they're the tracks pushed to videos.
Then there is the format, the album sounds the same on shuffle as in order, lacking any real direction in itself. As well as the actual formatting, which could very well just be Amazon's fault, of having they're two collab tracks under completely separate artists. Which just annoys me on a personal level.
I guess my real issue is that it doesn't feel like an album, these are the tracks presented when they speak to a production company to have they're album made or the short mixtape of an amateur which is a shame because dlsVsp are no amateurs, they just seem a little bored.
