5.0 out of 5 stars UNTIL THE COLOURS RUN...,
'Until The Colours Run' is another beautiful album from Lanterns on the Lake,as a band they have progressed greatly since their debut,'Gracious Tide,Take Me Home'.Quite different style's from that album on some track's but still a few of the amazing, haunting song's fan's will be familiar with from the debut.Great music and lyrics and Hazel's voice is so hypnotic and relaxing!A perfect chill out listen for after a hard day!Stand out track's for me are,'Until the Colours Run' ,'Green & Gold' and 'Another Tale from Another English Town ' .

5.0 out of 5 stars BURNING BRIGHT.,
Album of the year as far as I'm concerned. A distinct style all of there own- but which calls upon influences from across the music spectrum. A touch of the Cocteau twins, Sigur ros, the cure to name but a few.
Lanterns have that unique ability to remove you from your reality and take you on musical journey. From the first opening bars of elodie; somehow beautiful and menacing at the same time, that fade away to reveal the gorgeous female lead vocals, right through to the closing moments of the final track; our cold decay; my attention is gripped- and it is a record that improves with every listen. An album that will be one of those rare few that never becomes tiresome. On initial listens there are the obvious melodic tracks that stand out; the aforementioned Elodie and the single; Another tale from another English town and the title track; until the colours run, but on subsequent plays, the rest of the tracks come in to their own. I do not believe their is a weak track here. Stick on the head phones and play loud; laugh, smile, cry and have your heart broken inside the surreal world of Lanterns on the lake. A great great album by a band who are surely destined to achieve great things. The world needs their beauty.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT ALBUM (and even better live),
Love this album so much even after only five or so listens, and it's getting better every time. The best among many amazing songs, 'Another Tale From Another English Town' is stupendous, catchy and heart meltingly gorgeous.
The band seem to have developed in terms of confidence, production and songwriting since the decent first album.
Finally catch this band live - they get decent crowds and the atmosphere is spine tingling as the songs sound just as good and even better live. It's a disgrace that they aren't bigger than they are. Hopefully they'll get there. Until the next album. Can't wait.

Loved their first album and b-sides so was really looking forward to this album. Did not disappoint. This is lanterns at their best again. Please buy this album and support this band. They are a breath of fresh air and better than any pop crap thats banded as being talent in this day and age. 10/10.
