Any workplace comes with its dose of bullies, I’m sure we all agree to this; and being a victim of workplace bullying is certainly not a pleasant experience. The ebook “How to work with people you can’t stand by James Christiansen” adeptly deals with the consequences of being a victim of this. But instead of going in the offensive and stressing out oneself the author educates his readers as to how they can resolve the problem peacefully.
Christiansen gives important tips which are viable and can be emulated by anyone. The author however does not give a partial view of the situation. He also intelligently gives us a glimpse into the bully’s side of the story, explaining why they do this. And this is exactly why this book is such a great read, it shows us the psyche that is working inside a bully’s head.
The subject chosen by James Christiansen is an apt one in today’s professional working world where the stakes are high and competition is fierce. With added woes like mortgages, loans apart from personal problems etc. it is easy for any person to harbor a lot of frustration. It comes out in different ways and is harmful for the individual, but what of the impact it has on colleagues and coworkers? With professionals spending more than 40 hours a week at the workplace the problem can take gigantic proportions having a toll on the psychological health of any person diminishing his confidence and overturning the balance of his life. Christiansen has deftly handled this delicate subject in detail giving valuable insights and genuine solutions which makes it a must read for every working professional.

As a business owner, I rarely have to work with people I can't stand, but when I do, I now follow some of the principles in this book. If you have problems with co-workers, this is right for you. It's a quick and easy read, but goes straight to the point and doesn't waste your time. That's always a plus with ebooks, I think.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drive all people to be wind in your sail, 22 April 2014
This review is from: How To Work With People You Can't Stand: Plays Wells With Others: Learn To Manage Difficult People At Work & Difficult People To Work With (Kindle Edition)
There is a simple fact that there are only a very few lucky people who do get to choose their colleagues in the workplace, and the majority of people suffer from having to work with some coworkers who are dysfunctional somewhat or too tough to cope with, and what about those stirrers with their malicious gossips, and those who continually give negative comments about you and the way you do your job.
And this doesn't apply only for work; as there are many situations in life that we are inevitably paired up with people we can't stand or can't smoothly get along with because they are merely not likeminded, be them mates, neighbors, or even some family members. In order to handle this annoying issue the author presents some awesome techniques in this book that I have read and used, these techniques have largely helped me eliminate frustration and despair, pursue working with high spirits, and build a good relationship with those people I always thought I could never get along with. And I would strongly urge everybody to read this book and leverage the proven techniques inside that will really change your life to the better.
