5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book, 7 Dec 2013
Katherine Holden has produced a book full of anecdotes about real people that shows an amazing depth of knowledge of her subject. She mixes academic study with story telling that makes this fascinating subject come alive.

4.0 out of 5 stars good book with many valid points, 26 April 2014

This review is from: Nanny Knows Best: The History of the British Nanny (Kindle Edition)
This book is good if you want an open opinion on the work and attention of child care workers in the home. Some serious points are raised about qualified and unqualified nannies. But the best point is that the child is always the one who matters and should be shown un conditional love, good boundaries and suitable play conditions. A good read
