First a slight moan about confusing reviews.
As often happens on Amazon where the product has a drop down menu to select different models the review you are reading is often not the one you are thinking of buying.
This review is the Single Drive USB to SATA (optimised for SSD drives)that takes all SATA drive sizes.
No instructions are necessary just connect to the mains and a USB 3 port and that is it.
It is a fairly firm push needed to locate on the SATA connecting pins but once inserted.
I think it is a good idea to have the rear switch off when you are fitting or removing but in the absence of any instructions it might not matter.
If powered up and connected a blue LED illuminates which also flashes with disk activity.
It is reassuringly fast compared to anything I have used previously copying a 30GB Folder in about 10 mins from my PC using a PCI USB3 Card added to a PC before USB3 became the norm.
You may find that this drive does not show under Windows 8 in My Computer. This was, in my case, because a Dive letter was not assigned when I connected it to a USB3 PCI card. If this happens go to Control Panel, System & security, Computer Management then Disk Management.
The disk will be shown so right click on the partition and assign a drive letter.
