This 50th special is all-round excellent. The story parallel between the Daleks and Zygons did, for me, help to bring home the momentousness of the Hurt Doctor's decision. I loved the Rose conscience and her mimicry of the Doctor which, in the literary sense, bears reflection. Hurt himself, first coming to beloved attention as Q. Crisp, brought welcome class to the production. I would have liked to have seen a little more home-spun on the UNIT front, and rather less of the bucket-helmets and guns, but that aspect could be tuned out. And, it was lovely that t'was managed an appearance by Tom Baker, and the same that they placed Old Bill Hartnell's Doctor central to his 11 offspring, among which we note and appreciate the Hurt. After all, the latter is a real Doctor, isn't he? Sisterhood of Karn take note: he is a real Doctor!

The 50th anniversary of Doctor Who lives up to it expectations. The cult series has been running since 1963. It is a absolute delight to watch. The milestone edition has a very interesting story to tell. We get to learn a great deal about Doctor Who, by taking a deeper journey in the past. The future of Doctor Who has been well explored. The stories intertwine well together. I welcome the idea of bringing previous Doctor Who characters. It works really well and fits in perfectly with the plot. Doctor Who's style of sciene fiction is really appealing, as it not too serious and there is a strong element of comedy. The end part showing previous Doctor Who characters is impressive. I throughly enjoyed it. It is very well written and has strong characters.
