I love NUFAN and absolutely loved the idea of a tribute album, and this doesn't disappoint! There are a few songs I'm not too keen on, but with 33 varied styles I think it'd be an achievement for somebody to like every song. Not that they're bad, just not great. Highlights for me are Strung Outs version of Soulmate, Swinging Utters Not Your Saviour (the line "why do the good ones have to die" almost brought me to tears), and Joey Capes version of International You Day. Low points are few and far between, with the stand out duff track being Simple Plans overproduced happy-go-lucky reggae version of Justified Black Eye. Just doesn't suit the serious lyrics.
In a nutshell, buy this album. You get tons of great songs for less than a tenner, and your money will be going to a worthwhile cause.

As a fan of NUFAN, and Tony Sly's solo work it was sad to hear of his death.
He has left behind a legacy, and this is incredibly fitting, to hear each song played out, to hear each word of Sly's sung again in remembrance is haunting and beautiful.
This album is a reminder, and a thank you and as the stricker says, never forget Tony Sly.
