I'd not listened to Skunk Anansie for several years, having seen the live acoustic release I thought I'd give it a listen. Wow, a superb mix of songs showing Skins extraordinary vocal talent throughout. Ace providing both subtle melodic lines and powerfull driving rock rhythms whilst Cass and Mark holding a solid backline. There is not a single weak track (other than the obvious)... a truly excellent cd and yet a gain I've become a massive fan.

This is why you want Bluray. Recording arrangments are stellar
and so is the reproduction in your home, that is if you have the right gear.
As for the concert itself, what a performer she and her band is! Powerfull, and yet
very intimate concert where emotions of all can be easyly noticed because of the great
camerawork. If you where no fan or don't know the work of this band, now you will...

This band are absolutely brilliant live, so being able to watch them on DVD in addition to listening to them on CD is a real bonus - you get to see and hear them at their best and to appreciate the personalities behind the music (for us what makes this even more special is knowing that we were there too for their first ever acoustic show!).

We will never tire of watching or listening to this :-)

saw this band in the mid nineties at the brixton academy, fantastic live then. nearly forgot how talented they are, very underrated band. this is a good as accoustic set ive heard in a long time.Any musicians writing and performing their stuff should be respected in this era of desposable cover, quickly knock up for easy money. Skunk Anansie are one example of what it should be.

Spectacular acoustic versions of their most popular and best loved tracks. Would recommend this to anyone even if they aren't skunk anansie fans. The acoustics put an entirely different spin on the originals and creates a very different feeling. The fact that it is live is undetectable other than the intros by skin due to the natural quality of their performance.

Even better than the original songs, although their great.
I've had it a week now & cant stop playing it a real classic & the dvd's good quality too. It's hard to tell from a blu ray on a 40" Sony HD telly. If you like Skunk & Anansie you've gotta have this, as classic as Nirvana Unplugged in New York. Brilliant!

This album really shows the range of the band. It's like hearing the songs for the first time again and falling in love with them all over again. One of the best albums I have listened to this year and that's saying something as I listen to a lot of music. Go on, treat yourself!

Skunk Anansie, what more can I say. They are an awesome band and this acoustic album just shows that they can be just as great without the bass and electrics as they are with. Skin has an amazing voice, just sublime :)
Get this album! Your life depends on it lol

Skin has never sounded so good and it's great to hear the tracks acoustically. The DVD is brilliant and having seen Skunk Anansie a few times, this is a great addition.

You won't regret buying this album whether you're a fan or not.
