This was a fantastic read, I was hooked in right from the beginning and about halfway through I couldn't put it down - finished the rest in one sitting. The story keeps you guessing and isn't predictable, which I loved. It's easy to relate to the relatively complex characters so you really feel like you're in the story. Recommend!

I really enjoyed Knowing Vera. The very beginning had me hooked, which is hard to do. A lot of books take at least four or five chapters to get into, but not this one! You find out a pretty deep secret at the beginning.
Not only is it a good adventure story, it is also a love story. And I think there is a great balance of both. I also love how even though Knowing Vera is part of a collection, you can still read this as a stand-alone book. Now that I know how good of an author Rachelle Ayala is, I will definitely be reading the first two in this series very soon! I definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a pretty quick read that has a great story to it. There are some steamy scenes in it, just to warn you though - which are really written very well!

Knowing Vera by Rachelle Ayala has turned out to be a well-written novel, in my opinion. It is my kind of book and it has it all. Romance with mystery and suspense while scenes were believable. When Vera meets Zach (BTW - I secretly wanted to be Vera) amorous scenes kept me reading while my need of wanting to know more keeping me sort of hypnotized. Turmoil sets in around family secrets needing to see the light to then be put to rest. How many times I just said, "No, this is not happening!" Complexities and faith entwined with trust gave the novel an essence not present in many stories turning out to be one of the best novels I have read so far.
With the Christmas around the corner, Knowing Vera by Rachelle Ayala would make a fantastic stocking stuffer. Happy Reading.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but this did not affect the book at all. I very much liked the range of characters that Ayala put into this book, especially the range of backgrounds and the detailed histories of each. I really enjoyed reading about Vera's history and her family background and I felt this really gave the whole book a little something extra. I also loved Zach's background and storyline especially - he is so easy to like and a brilliantly written character.
The book is well written, easy to read and thoroughly enjoyable. It even surprises as there are many elements that would be difficult to predict - unlike so many other romances.
I would really recommend you reading this - I am off to grab the others in the series.

Moments of being a very hot and exciting book. Fascinating family dynamics and some complex and intriguing characters to hold your attention. Plenty of action, good locations, sex, and my suspicions got thrown around like a bouncing ball, I struggled to suss out the baddies but that's what was so great about it. Kept me guessing right until the end. Once it hit the third way mark I was well and truly hooked and in fact desperate to turn the pages! I would recommend this for those who enjoy romance, suspense and thrillers.
Well written. Great author. Great read!
