Fell across this band by accident last year, and had the pleasure of watching them organically evolve into the potential arena-fillers they are now, and this is only their debut! Obviously influenced by bands as diverse as Creedence, Humble Pie, The Faces, Stones, Eagles, Byrds and Black Crowes, this is a melting pot of rock'n'soul with grooves to make you move and lyrics to tug on your heartstrings. Go see them now while they're still playing venues where you're not watching them on a screen, and buy this album now, so you can prove to your friends you were there from the start. JOIN THE MOVEMENT!!

Absolutely fantastic album!
Seen these guys live they rock! so tight and they sound even better than the album live! great to see their album finally here. Fantastic vocals, brilliant song writing any track on this album could be released as a single. Get the album and see this band live whilst they are still playing small venues it won't be long until they will be playing the big arenas. MOVEMENT! MOVEMENT! MOVEMENT!

This album is the culmination of 2 years playing small bars, pubs and clubs up and down the UK. I've been following them for the best part of a year and its great to finally see the album out there.

The band are so tight its frightening and Phil's voice really stands out from other singers. He's exactly what you want in a rock n roll vocalist - powerful gravelly vocals, like a modern day Frankie Miller and Otis Redding combined. If you've heard any of their tracks on the radio (Planet Rock) then you won't be disappointed with the rest of the album.

Although this is the best money you'll spend on an album all year by a mile, I agree with some of the other reviewers - go and see them while they're still playing small venues. It won't be long before they're on Jools Holland or the like and that'll be it - O2 Academy's all round!

Saw them live in The Slade Rooms,Wolverhampton, they blew me away!!!!
Just received the Double Vinyl and am not disappointed. Earache records strike gold again. First with Rival Sons, and now the homegrown Temperance Movement. If you like the Black Crowes and Humble Pie, you will love these guys. They ain't pretty but boy do they rock!!!

this album has just knocked me sideways - Phil's voice is amazing and the quality of the song writing and musicianship is outstanding - these deserve to be huge. Any doubters check out lovers and fighters and only friend for contrasting styles - if your musical interest ranges from the Black Crowes to John Mayer to Vintage Trouble to the Rolling Stones to the Eagles then you'll love this. Its the best album I've heard this year and the big shocker is they're British!! - buy this and support them - I did

An incredible debut album from this amazing British band. Blistering blues/rock that needs to be played at high volume! With wonderful gravelly vocals from Phil Campbell, this talented band's 'full-on' rock tracks explode with energy and excitement that'll have you leaping around the room playing air guitar, whilst ballads like 'Chinese Lanterns' and 'Lovers & Fighters' ooze tenderness and leave you feeling truly uplifted. Every track's a winner! Try and catch them live too, their performances are superb.

This album is brilliant in it's simplicity. It is not over-produced, there is no auto-tuning trickery. It is a masterclass of rock music with a soul and crafted song-writing. Phil's voice is a revelation - dirty and full of gravel one minute; heartfelt and tender the next. I love the interplay between guitarists Luke and Paul, and the rhythm section of Nick and Damon has a nice groove. I would highly recommend this - and catching the guys live too.

I've been following Phil Campbell's career since the late 90s, and I've listened to this talented singer song writer and heard what he has had to say. I've been willing for that opportunity to knock at his door once more for some time now, someone of this calibre could just not be left by the wayside. Through the highs and the lows the road has not been easy, but this is where it has brought us believers.

A blistering debut album from the Temperance Movement, a fantastic blend of well seasoned musicians/ song writers, coming together with a common cause, to make music that they love, and luckily enough there are many more out there that are enjoying the products of their labours.

I'm struggling to find fault in this album, I thought the Stereophonics' 2013 album 'Grafitti On the Train' was good, this is magnificent.

Hope Phil, Nick, Luke, Paul & Damon get everything that is certainly coming their way.

Wake up music industry and take note this is what the masses want!
