I downloaded this title after reading the 'blurb' - which is unusual for two reasons. 1. I generally use the look inside feature for a new-to-me author and 2. This is a vampire story and... I was pretty sure I was 'off' those, after reading far too many of them in the past.

However, after coming across this author via twitter, then Facebook, and finally here on Amazon, and being impressed with the 'blurb', my gut was telling me to take a chance - which I suppose is a win for both me and social media?

Once I began to read, I found that this is rather more than just a vampire tale. It's actually a story about loss, the ability to love more than once in our lives, and the joy of rediscovery. Add in evil intent and obsession... and you have a little gem!

There were some points within the plot where I wanted to know 'more', and there are questions that I still feel I want answered--but as I'm hoping this won't be the last story I get to read about Sebastian and Jane, I'm willing to forgive the author on those points... and it certainly didn't stop me from enjoying this story.

Also, if this is one of the first books by this author, I have high hopes for the stories that her creativity and talent will produce in the future. The ability to write is the start of a journey for both the author and their readers - and this is a very good start! I look forward to reading more of Angela Snyder's work.

This is my first book by Angela Snyder and I have to say I like her take on vamps.

I won't go over the plot, it's a pnr and you can read the book blurb.

At the beginning you may wonder where's the vamp, trust me you'll get plenty of Sebastian. Jane, poor Jane she's been through it and doesn't even know who she is... She's alone too, but not for long.

I really liked the book set up with just a hint of vamp, when you do get to meet Sebastian it's more about how he feels about Jane more than him being Vampire, him being a vamp does prove very useful though.

Along with the love and romance running through the book there is some suspense mixed in to keep you wondering who and why.

I'm sure I can say there is a HEA, in a way it's left a little open so maybe there's more to come!

I found this an easy read and really enjoyed this book, I will definitely be checking out other books by author.

4.5 vampy stars

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.

Vampire Next Door is an edge of your seat, romantic, paranormal thing of beauty that will have your eyes screaming for more. I was hooked before I cracked the book open as the cover, as plain and simple as it once was, gave an eerie, dark feeling of what was to be expected. The cover was spilling with anticipation and this novel clearly delivered in all aspects. From the onset, the author reels in her readers by using imaginative and figurative language in addition to a writing style that leaves a sweet craving in the reading mind, always wanting to turn to the next page and read, just one more chapter. The story line is fabulous and character development is wonderful as they both keep the reader in suspense as the words fall off the page with ease. If you’re looking for a romantic, suspenseful novel with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end, then Vampire Next Door by Angela Snyder is a book to engage in. Be sure to pick up a soft cover or eBook right now as it is well worth the money invested.

You get so involved with the story it's just brilliant. I don't want to give too much away but the twists are so good.
I can't wait to read more from this talented author.

My goodness, what can I say it had me completely gripped from start to end. Beautiful written and you connect with each character rooting for some and wanting to kick others butts from ruining things. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and look forward to reading some more of the authors work. I would love to know what happens next after this story ended.

I really enjoyed reading this book, which is the first one I have read by this author.

I like the way the relationship developed between Jack and Laurel after she regained consciousness in the hospital. I also liked the way Sebastian put her happiness before his once he realised that she didn't remember him but he continued to watch over her regardless.

The other thing was, would she accept and trust him if she found out that he was a vampire?

As for Matt, talking about terrible twin! He looked like Jack but so deceitful in his behaviour. After Jack was murdered, he tried to take on the role of being Jane's protector but could he be trusted?

Sebastian continued to watch over her and found it difficult to stay away. When they eventually met , which for Jane was the first time, she felt like she knew him but she had no recollections. Matt's interference and jealousy made their lives quite difficult.

To be honest, there wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. The characters felt real and I felt what they felt. There was drama, betrayal, heartache, love, happiness, friendship amongst other things. This book is very well written with a fascinating story and I would fully recommend to those who like romance coupled with paranormal. I look forward to reading other books by this author.

I enjoyed it. The characters were well rounded, and the plot was well thought out, and the girl found in the woods was a real catch of the attention. It flowed well, and you really felt for Jane and all she went through. I have to admit I worked it out before the end, but you still had to read how it all went down. It read as more of a romantic suspence, but the vampire element did give it a slightly different twist, and I have to say Sebastian made a really nice book boyfriend for the duration. Well worth picking up, and would suit romance readers as much as suspense and urban fantasy ones.
