4.0 out of 5 stars Too expensive.
Great phone with pretty good speed. But you should wait untill it's like £140 because in some shops it's only £116.
It's great but they should stop with OS7 and start working and developing more for OS10.

3.0 out of 5 stars Blackberry 9720
I've had this phone now for a few weeks. It's a phone a company may supply for junior supervisors and low to middle management or a phone for those who want a keyboard and very little else at an affordable cost. Some what of a down grade from my BB 9800, in terms of build, its all plastic but no creaks and feels well made and light. The screen is very small touch...

3.0 out of 5 stars Blackberry 9720, 9 Dec. 2013
This review is from: Blackberry 9720 Sim Free Smarpthone - Black (Electronics)
I've had this phone now for a few weeks. It's a phone a company may supply for junior supervisors and low to middle management or a phone for those who want a keyboard and very little else at an affordable cost. Some what of a down grade from my BB 9800, in terms of build, its all plastic but no creaks and feels well made and light. The screen is very small touch sensative and is useful for scrolling web pages and really that's about all not Q10/5 fast. The screen is colourful, bright and pretty responsive not the best viewing angles, but good enough for me and gets the job done. The keyboard is what drew me to the 9720 its a fairly thin phone and quite broad from edge to edge so the keys are well spaced and easy to type with and the keyboard layout is straight, not curved like older BB models. Again not in the class of the Q10/5 the keypad on the 9720 has a hollow clicky sound to it and the key's require a discernible press when typing. All of the top row of buttons above the keyboard home, end/send and back buttons are physical and the track pad is nice and responsive, accurate and not jumpy. I won't talk about the OS other than it's the older OS 7 rather than the newer BB 10... OS, so it's a bit of a throwback but works relatively fast, applications are quick to load. The speaker is fairly loud and call quality is nice It also has a dedicated BBM button to the left side of the phone, which can be programmed to launch other applications, volume up / down button is to the top right side of the phone, with pause function in between them and a camera button below, on top there is a sleep wake button that also allows you to take a photo when the phone is locked via a drop down blind from the screen with a long press of the camera icon on the screen and a 3.5 ml headphone jack to the top left. The camera is rear facing only, no front facing camera, it's slow with a bright flash and won't win any awards for low light snaps and is OK in bright outdoor daylight.

I work this phone to death every day so whats important is the battery life, moderate to heavy users will get a good day 10/12 hr's, heavy users 8/10 hr's. All in all I'm really quite surprised how good this phone is having paid a lot less than the current advertised price as I write this review. The bottom line is most BB users aren't smartphone users in the IOS & Android sense, I'd say function over form. If you can do without the end, send and trackpad consider the Q5 instead if your budget allows.
