5.0 out of 5 stars Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen, 19 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Sense and Sensibility (Unabridged, with the original watercolor illustrations by C.E. Brock) (Kindle Edition)
I first read this book at school, recommended reading for 'O' Level English, as the exam was then. I enjoyed it then, and enjoyed it again via Kindle. The watercolours add an extra dimension to the book, showing the furniture and fashions of the day. Many twists and turns in the narrative, and changes of location keep it moving along. Very descriptive, maybe a bit overdone in places, but that was the style when the book was written. Jane Austen fans will love it, anyone new to this style of writing might find it a bit slow.
