Excellent album, any guitar fans will love this. Lee Ranaldo, Neil young, general indie, psych rock work outs that build slowly and continue to amaze. A couple drift into discord but only on occasion and don't give too much displeasure.

He is obviously a skilled player and this is a fantastic diversion for any electric six stringed fans.

This album has gained rightly gained good reviews on the fringes of popular music - it even made it into the Uncut top 50 albums of the year. Pricing at £2.99 for the album download don't seem right - but has to be the best value of the year.
This is an instrumental album, featuring top quality guitar playing, beautifully arranged within a band setting. The sound is certainly reminiscent of Television (apparently Chris Forsyth studied with Richard Lloyd) but the music takes its own unique path. The tracks sound like live jam sessions but have a structure that runs through and they become songs in their own right. Despite the shortest track being over 7 minutes long, they all seem perfectly formed and structured.
If you like intelligent rock music with energy and a few twists then give this a go.

Delighted to have this in my music collection, slots nicely in with the heavyweights. Should be proud of this Chris!

All said in the previous review. Starts off unstructured but then beautiful melodies come in. Dont quite see the Television comparisons myself but a really good guitar player who is getting positive press.

yet another interesting release from Chris Forsyth - SF psych band meets Television - each of his recordings shows something different in his playing

Yes, the Television comparisons were inevitable after Forsyth studied with Richard Lloyd, but are not completely accurate: this is not the "Marquee Moon Part 2" that some journalists claimed.

What you get here is 4 extended, guitar-dominated instrumentals, showing touches of - as noted by other reviewers - The Dead, Krautrock, Television, some of Verlaine's solo outings and the like. I can see it appealing to those who like Dark Star stylee Dead, Marquee Moon, Verlaine's Around, even Fairport's A Sailor's Life or Neu! 75...That'll be me then!
