Being looking for this track for ages. Started searching as it was supposed to be on Ace Records latest London American Year By Year series for 1965 but the licence owners removed their permission for Ace to use it at the last minute. Only four stars as it sounds like it is a copy taken from vinyl as there are a few clicks at the beginning of the track. The iTunes version sounds identical with the same clicks so am assuming this is the only digital download version available at the moment. Sure if Ace had been granted the licence they would have found a clean version or cleaned this one up.

That warning aside it is a totally brilliant track and brings back memories of the good old days of Capital Radio and the late Roger Scott (best DJ ever in my view) when DJ's were not TV celebrities knew everything about music and were not made to play the same 100 songs on a never ending loop like stations today! That "more music variety" station being the biggest offender! Should be made to pull the jingle under the Trade Descriptions Act!

Download and enjoy

One of the finest records to come out of Phil Spector's stable, I know he didn't produce it but you'd swear he did and again I know it isn't onnie but it should be. Brilliant !!!
