Great for spec wearer
on 1 May 2014
As a spec wearer, I resisted wearing a helmet and goggles until I found this. Pump adjuster gimmicky and useless - at least not as useful as usual screw fastener. Very comfy and secure with the excellent chin strap. Ventilation is excellent and even in heavy snow, surprisingly my head was completely dry thanks to the mesh covering the large vents. The quality of the visor is top grade and obviously saves me having to shell out for a pair of goggles. Unobstructed/peripheral vision feels reassuring. I must the visor looks enormous and a bit "top gun" when I look at my photos. But it probably saved my life this time when someone went over my head! The foam on the bottom of the visor helps to keep the wind out but has a downside of keeping water and snow in esp in heavy snow or after a fall as the top isn't sealed and does let in some snow. Once it's in it's quite tricky to clear them but fortunately doesn't bother me much. I had the chance to try them first in a shop and I'd say probably go one size up esp to avoid spec being compressed. My head is 57cm but M was too tight and L was perfect. Used for 10 full days of skiing this year. Overall very satisfied.
