both myself and a lot of fellow Frankie fans were baffled by this release. it features material all previously released at least once, some of it as recently as the excellent "Frankie Said" set in 2012. the only difference to anything is that the Rage Hard "megamix" seems slightly edited from the standard "compacted" release.

that said, for the price this is a great Frankie compilation. the track order runs in a smooth way, and does not have the disjointed feel others have had. the poster is from a photo shoot i had not seen before, at five pounds this itself justifies half the cost.

it's weird that this has been released with little fanfare - it is not even listed on the website for the label, at least not at the time of writing. whereas the Frankie collector will have all the tracks here, it's worth it to have a listen, and would make a great gift for friends and family who have little or no Frankie in their collection.

TOP 500 REVIEWERon 10 November 2015
Frankie Goes to Hollywood formed in 1980, they were a British band popular in the mid-1980’s. The group's 1983 debut single “Relax” was banned by the BBC in 1984 and topped the charts for five consecutive weeks, going on to enjoy prolonged chart success throughout that year and ultimately becoming the seventh best-selling UK single of all time, It also won the 1985 Brit Award for Best British Single.

After the follow-up success of “Two Tribes” and “The Power of Love” which is my personal favourite the group became only the second act in the history of the UK charts to reach number one with their first three singles. In 1985, Frankie Goes to Hollywood won the Brit Award for Best British Newcomer.

Because there have been other Frankie compilations (that I don’t have) I was unsure what to expect here. However I must say this is actually much better than I expected and is a great Frankie compilation of their 1980's classic pop, rock and dance music, with all of their hits and some really good remixes. If like me you don’t have the band’s blitz of initial hits I would certainly recommend this album.

In search of a collection of Frankies best album tracks/singles, plus a few good remixes (from the 100s out there), I have purchased a number of FGTH CDs and none have quite hit the mark - until this one. Previously I have found some of the mixes a bit OTT or too way out from the originals. This is just right: all the singles plus excellent remix versions of just the best tracks like Relax,TT and WOTW etc. Die hard fans should already have this material and therefore probably want more exotic remixes etc: this is great for new fans or people like me that just want the best tracks and a few great remixes of our favourites. Relax, just do it: buy this CD!
