5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best blues and rock&roll live albums ever
Ten Years After has not been treated properly by recent polls and lists of best rock&roll bands. It is truly sad and unfair, given the band is one of the greatest bands of the late 60s and early 70s. They are back on the road, although the lead figure of the band, Alvin Lee, is not with them and that sustracts a lot to the band. Alvin Lee is the lead guitar, vocalist and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Listless
Here was a band stuck playing a certain groove, with every audience expecting "I'm going home" a la Woodstock. By the time this late golden era TYA album came out, the cracks were beginning to show. The band sound curiously listless throughout, distanced from the audience, and simply going thru the motions.

For live TYA at its height check out Woodstock, of course, the Isle of Wight CD and if u can get hold of it, their original live album "undead". Go find.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed !, 19 Jan 2014

Why disappointed?
The music is excellent , and who had the old vinyl worn by use will be well pleased with these digital edition , in part because there are 7 more tracks that did not appear in the double vinyl.
But the disappointment comes from the fact that I think it is pointless to put together tracks from 4 different shows as if it were a single performance .
It would have been so difficult for those who have cared for this re-release publish full concerts or at least 3 of the 4 ?
Where is the logic to enclose one and only one of the songs from the concert in Rotterdam?
What is the logic to spread and break up the Frankfurt gig on 2 CDs ?
In my opinion it's the usual commercial transaction made to dupe collectors / completists putting 7 songs more, but without a hint of logic and historical accuracy .
But then maybe in a year it will be isuued a box with the final / deluxe / ultra-luxury edition with the 4 full shows ...... see what happened with the Band - The Rock of Ages case ......
