5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
This is a really good book I liked the way they met each otherdue to this sweet tooth, and that he felt the way he did and perused it by pretending to be jules ie on line man. He did make some really bad decisions but I'm glad he and his brother are making a go of it. I'm happy that she saw past his front and could see the man he really was and made him come to his...

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed, 23 April 2014

I was really looking forward to Sebastian's story and so disappointed with it. I rather liked him when he appeared in Christian's story and expected something special. Unfortunately, I thought that this was just a very poor imitation of Christian's story with a minor twist.
However, my major gripe concerned the author's total lack of knowledge or research regarding London or the British peerage system.
Firstly, Nazis and Nazism did not exist in WW1 therefore no members of the British peerage could support it. That said, obviously there would have been British nationals from all classes who did not wholly support Britain's position. However, they would have had to have been actively engaged in treasonous behaviour to merit a trial and guilty verdict. During that period a convicted traitor would have hanged and any confiscations regarding assets or titles would never have been reversed. In the unlikely event of a title being revived/restored/
reinstated, the claimant would be thoroughly investigated and all branches of such families were very well known amongst themselves. Frauds and imposters would have been easily exposed. Sebastian would never have become an Earl by that route. He would also never inherit his maternal grandfather's title of Duke as hereditary titles do not descend through the female line. That means that his mother's family's titles would not come to her children. As a final point regarding titles and the British peerage,it should be noted that a title does not imply or bestow any form of royalty or royal connections.
With so much of this story harping on about the hero and his aristocratic lifestyle, such ignorance is truly appallingly.
My final point is to reassure any visitors to London that they need have few worries about their safety in London's West End. This is one of the most upmarket areas in England, definitely nothing like the description in this novel.
On the strength of this book,I would not recommend this author but I have actually read other better work by her so this might just be a one off.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read, 9 Aug 2013
This review is from: Just Desserts: Holland Springs, Book 4 (Contemporary Romance) (Kindle Edition)
This book is a must read of everyone.
Well thought out characters, plot and following on with the other characters from earlier books in the series.
The hero is sexy and amazing, although you will go from wanting to hug to throttle him many, many times (often in the same paragraph)
I feel this is the best book yet from the very talented Marquita Valentine, but be careful the book is addictive, you will not want to put it down.
