This review is from: Wicklein Chocolate Covered Lebkuchen with Sour Cherry Filling in Musical Tin 160 g (Grocery)
I had been looking at Bahlsen Zum Fest 500 g which is a nice sized box of various Lebkuchen and followed a link from that, to this product. This is like the Bahlsen, made in Germany and contains the same kind of thing. Often equated with gingerbread or sometimes called "honey bread", Lebkuchen are nothing like the former and are soft with a gently spiced flavour - mostly cinammon, with almonds, citrus peel and these have a soft cherry filling.

However, after looking at the Bahlsen box, which contains 500g of Lebkuchen, this is disappointingly small with only 160g and costs twice the price. This does become a musical money box - so once you have eaten the contents, it still has value for a child and as such, might make a nice small gift or stocking-filler? If you are looking for better value and more Lebkuchen though - you might prefer the Bahlsen Zum Fest box.
