Excellent iPhone SE case offering good protection, better grip, minimal bulk
on 10 April 2016
Since the launch of the small iPhone SE a couple of weeks ago, I've been testing a range of cases and covers made for iPhone's most polarising smartphone. I'd like to share with you my views on the Ringke Fusion Crystal Clear case.
First, allow me to give you a bit of context.
When choosing a case for my smartphones, I am always looking for the best combination of style, protection, comfort and value for money.
I am personally a huge fan of thin covers (ideally transparent) which offer a satisfying level of protection (including the screen as I dislike screen protectors) without impacting the design of the phone too much, and ideally improve the customer experience (for instance by improving the grip). All the buttons, connectors and the camera (including the flash) should work as well as without the case.
So back to the RINGKE case.
+ the case comes with removable inner and outer protective layers to make sure it's faultless on delivery
+ good grip
+ reasonable additional bulk
+ excellent level of protection: thick material, raised on the front to protect the screen, and all the buttons are protected too
+ the four tiny lips on the back of the case
+ precise cut outs (bottom of the phone and camera)
+ easy to both fit in and remove your iPhone SE
- it was easier to remove the protective layers
- the plastic buttons on top of the volume buttons were easier to press (not a huge deal though)
This clear case from Ringke offers an excellent trade off (level of protection vs. additional bulk) while still highlighting the unarguably beautiful design of the iPhone SE. And considering the small price tag, it's a no brainer. I personally love this case and I use it as my daily driver.
