As someone who watches a huge amount of televised men's tennis I found the twists and turns of this years Wimbledon Championships a welcome change . The top players are SO good and SO consistent that all too often the results are predictable (especially during the slams )with the usual suspects reaching the final stages of competitions and winning them . Although the men's final ended up with the (then) worlds top two players battling it out for the title - there were plenty of surprises along the way to keep fans and the players on their toes !!!. The women's championship was even more shocking - but I enjoyed seeing the spotlight land ( albeit briefly )on the charming and powerful Lisicki and unorthodox and entertaining Bartoli

I agree with a previous reviewer that this DVD could have been longer - I would have appreciated more coverage of men's, women's and doubles matches as the championships progressed but I still enjoyed watching it - a competent reminder of the 2013 Championships which resulted in a historic win for Andy Murray in a final that had me glued to the edge of my seat on that gloriously sunny Sunday

I am amazed that anyone has given this a star rating when it's not even out yet. However, you cannot post a review without one so I am showing my optimism.

It was a wonderful championship, full of twists and unexpected turns. The men's final was a worthy climax and if people still find it difficult to accept that Andy Murray was a worthy winner on the day they are just a few bitter voices in a sea of national appreciation.

Nadal will come back, not so sure about Federer now, the game will be richer for his return. However, this year was Andy's year. Live with it!

i found this wimbledon review disappointing. to try to cover a two week slam in an hour was going to be a challenge but this was further stretched by spending time reviewing junior wimbledon. the promised interviews with the players were short and superficial. altogether not a dvd to treasure. avoid this dvd not worth the money and does not do justice to a great two weeks.

I really thought that this would be a better dvd considering it was the year of Andy Murray's win. They focus a lot on other players and not much around the champions. Good interviews from Marion Bartoli who I was happy to see win Wimbledon. Andy Murray winning Wimbledon was historic and they should have featured more on his win.

For the first in many years, I shall not buy the DVD or the book. What's the point when most of the best players were beaten or retired or withdrew early on and there were all those questions about the state of the grass and some painful looking slips and slides? This Wim started badly therefore. For sure there were a few good matches, such as ND vs Delpo semi-final was quite exciting. The Murray side of the draw was a devastation so no wonder he could reach the final easily. But unfortunately the final was another baselining bore and I soon turned it off so no way do I want to see it in full let alone any more times. Many people I know didn't even bother to watch because Murray and ND are so similar in style that their matches are tedious. Sure if you are a Murray fan, you will love this video and the book. Otherwise........ why not give it a miss, save the money for something containing Federer, Nadal, etc? Too many of the top ladies also in a mess at this tournament. Unauspicious.

No Federer, no Nadal, no Tsonga.... When these guys aren't playing, and ladies like Sharapova and Williams, what's left isn't nearly as interesting, unfortunately. The game has been damaged by slow courts, racquets doing too much but hurting players, long dreary rallies so that even TV are now demanding shorter matches to keep viewers interested..... It's going to be a very poor tennis era when Federer & Nadal and "older players" like Haas, Ferrer, Robredo etc retire, unless some younger players can at long last show some ability to win top tournaments and majors.

Hoping for better things next year.
