As Grey fights against the daughter of his master, Melody attempts to escape with the unconscious Zeref but is confronted by one of her former comrades and Zeref himself has no desire to be anyone's ally. Meanwhile with Natsu and his friends recovered somewhat from their battles they head to the final faceoff with the Grimoire Heart grandmaster Hades but the fight will not be easy as Hades has access to powerful lost magic of his own.

This twenty-ninth volume of the 'Fairy Tail' manga is another entertaining instalment and sees the beginning of the end of the Sirius Island arc as the main characters fight against Hades. This was quite an entertaining fight with some nice twists and some good abilities on show, it was also good to see Happy and the Exceed play a part in the climax. Despite how entertaining this final fight is, I have to say that the battle between Grey and Ultear is probably my favourite part of the volume as it gives Ultear some nice background and reveals her ultimate reasons for joining Grimoire Heart.

There isn't much in the way of extras in this volume (just an afterword, fan art and brief translation notes) as Chapter 128 is extended somewhat with additional double page spreads.

Overall this was a solid and entertaining volume of 'Fairy Tail' and I feel it deserves around four and a half to a low five stars.
