5.0 out of 5 stars A Must for RAF History Buffs
Very informative and clearly written. Enjoyed every page and will no doubt read it again, especially if I need to reference any facts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fighter Command 1936-1968
A comprehensive account of this Commands activitiesand structural changes from the years prior to World War 2
up to its dissolution. Some readers may consider it to be somewhat overweight with data and statistics, but useful,
nevertheless, if one is wanting documentary style composition.

I was an RAF transport pilot during the latter years of Fighter Command so was interesting to read how the "other lot" operated.

Good factual account that would have benefitted with more proof reading. But that was a minor issue.

A good book. This gives slot of information on the development and growth of Fighter Command until it's demise during the cold war. A lot of the book is devoted to WW2. The book has sections listing the various Groups, Aircraft, and operations. It is quite detailed and for anyone with a genuine interest in this aspect of the RAF a must read.

A very good detailed account of the legendary RAF Command. Highly recommended for any reader looking for an insight into the mainstay of the RAF in the early stages of WWII.

Interesting book but more of a text book and as such it can be a bit of the same throughout and monotonous in content.

2.0 out of 5 stars BAD START, 5 Jan 2014
This review is from: Fighter Command 1936-1968: An Operational & Historical Record: An Operational and Historical Record (Kindle Edition)
I thought of buying this book but when I 'Looked Inside' and saw that the author referred to the Gloster Gladiator as the RAF's first eight gun fighter I decided that it might not be a great idea.
