This review is from: An Object (Audio CD)
The spirit of punk would appear to be alive and well in the hands
of Dean Spunt and Randy Randall. 'An Object' is a rough and ready
affair, which, with the exclusion of the one-minute atrocity 'My
Hands, Birch and Steel', conjures up more than a little of the
ragamuffin musical years of the late 70's, although their sonic
kinship lays more with the likes of Husker Du than with The Clash.

You can't keep a good song down though and despite a lot of bluff
and bluster tracks such as the raucous opening number 'No Ground';
'I Won't Be Your Generator' with its curiously charming muddy melody
and (channeling The Ramones to no small degree) the paint blistering
mayhem of 'Circling With Dizzy' may well make your skull implode!

No Age don't pretend to be rocket scientists but it's still kinda fun....

Cautiously Recommended.
