Brilliant shoe to run in, and have lasted better than any other shoe I have used in the past.
I hadn't used any barefoot shoe before these, and the transition cost time and a bit of pain; but it was so worth it. Thanks to these babies I'm now confidently running half marathon distance mid/fore-foot striking and my pace is way up from this time 12 months ago.
I just ordered my second pair.

Running shoes are individual to the user so this may not be relevant to all. Brief over view of the user. I am a neutral runner and a relatively light weight at 70kg. I am 50yrs but still able to run a 40min 10km (on a good day). I have only used the shoe on a treadmill and find them faster then all the other shoes in normal race in. They are very comfortable and the fit is spot on for me. I am a triathlete and find that the tong opening to one side only makes getting the shoe on, in a rush, easy (I have not done this in a race yet nor with elastic laces). I would suggest you read all the other reviews. I bought my pair based on their comments and now agree with what they said.

I really like the new balance minimus zero, but it hurts my ankle after 10 km running.
It's also has a tough sole, not as flexible as the new balance RC5000, but it still a good bared foot shoes.
Your calf might suffer a bit, but after you get used to, you realise it saves a lot your legs.
I recommend this shoes, but I still prefer the New Balance RC5000, which is more flexible, but seems to has less durability.
