Very good game, I particularly like the 30 years of Wrestlemania new mode. The game has a big and strong roster and the new creation features in it are cool. It's the first game I've bought since SVR 2011 and this game is so far the best WWE game out there.

The only thing I don't like is the annoying reversals, it's always too slow or too fast and the opposite player COM always seems to reverse easy.

Apart from that, WWE 2k14 is a must buy for all WWE fans...

When comparing this game to WWE13 it has improved on its previous games faults.

However sadly there still is the odd glitches. The first match I played Dean Ambrose got stuck in the stairs! Also the glitch with entrance music is a little annoying. Handling the character though has improved and it is harder to kick out or make someone tap out which is a massive improvement on the last game.

Mind the 30 years of Wrestlemania mode was awesome in my opinion. Being able to play through classic matches of previous Wrestlemanias was great both for nostalgia and gameplay (also liked the filters used for the older Wrestlemanias to make it look like it was on an old school tv). Also gotta love Steak mode.

Player customization is where it is for a while, still good, no need to change it.

Universe mode is still good, but if you want to use a customized character in it, I would recommend turning off auto rivalries. Seriously my character debuted so many times it got old really fast, also because of it, apparently my character was never eligible for a title opportunity!

What I would like to see come back:

Earning your character stats - too easy to give your guy top stats and then dominate the game
During hardcore/anywhere falls matches being able to drag opponents through the crowd and backstage - loved that in WWF No Mercy (BRING IT BACK ALREADY!)
Proper custom belts - being able to make a belt with as much freedom as you do when you make a character
Universe mode could be more like the season mode from WWE Raw

Anyway that's my review, hoped you like.

I really loved this game. There are many great things about it, and also quite a few bad things.

Pros:

- 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode is just outstanding. I love that for the older matches they have a camera filter on, so that it looks like a recording would in those days.
- You can properly create your own title this year.
- A fairly good roster.
- Universe mode is a lot better (although I will probably get bored of the mode within a few months)
- The gameplay is definitely more smooth.
- The creation suite as a whole

Cons:

- I played a few online matches earlier, and lost most of them because it is unreal the amount of different ways you can spam your opponent with attacks. This made me not enjoy it as much.
- It does feel quite similar to WWE 13, but this doesn't bother me too much.
- The catapult RKO move looks very strange (I know that seems very random, but I can't think of much else wrong with this game)

So, overall, I thought this was a very good game. The best mode, for me, was the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode. It was great. For a rating out of 10, this game would get 8/10. A very enjoyable game, with great modes (just try to avoid the multiplayer)

Lots of things to do in this game including 30 years of Wrestlemania, Universe mode, multiplayer mode, create a story, super star, arena & play with the most complete roster ever. Community creations my favorite part of the game where you can download created versions of any wrestlers that weren't included in the game and some great stories. Only things that i don't like so much is the reversals, limited number of stories to download (max 8) and the fact that you need xbox live to use community creations when before you only needed silver. The reversals stop you from dominating matches like you would in previous games like reversing everything but now the COM will fight back aggresively at times which is much more realistic and challenging, guess tho this will annoy a few of people. It would have been nice if more stories can be downloaded but universe mode can suffice for this as you can create rivalry matches such as WCW inavasions etc. Other than that its clear to see even after the release of 2K15 that 2k14 is still very popular to those who aren't yet upgrading to next gen, so if like me you aren't planning on upgrading to next gen until later on, get WWE 2k14 for 360 instead of 2k15.

Wow! I ordered this as a cheap Christmas present to myself when I found that the 2K15 version was too expensive to warrant. This is a 'full-fat' version of the WWE wrestling game genre that should not disappoint fans with long memories. This is because the main mode is centered around '30 years of Wrestlemania' and mostly delivers on its promises. There are all 30 Wrestlemania liveries available once this mode is completed and really adds to the great nostalgia feeling; nothing beats doing a Superkick outdoors in Ceasars Palace! The mechanics of the gameplay are a little simplified compared to some previous releases but this works for the title and eases you in at a reasonable pace. Once the basics are learnt it's easy to get the rest nailed down.

The animation is smooth (much more than I was expecting) and most things worked exactly as I wanted them too. There are a few modes that still suck a little (ladder match) - but I would be disappointed if they weren't included as at least the first ten minutes are fun!

If you are an old school WWE / WWF fan then this game does a great service to your memories - it's worth a punt.

Honestly one of the best wrestling games I've played in a while. They had a lot to do to top last years but from what I've played so far they've without doubt came up to par with it if not exceeded it. The edition of 30 years of Wrestlemania is awesome, so many memories and all of the best matches you would of wished for. But apart from that the sheer amount you can do on this game is INSANE, it never feels old because of the constant ability to customize what ever you want whenever you want.

Yes there are still underlying issues with it at times but they've done a good job of ironing out those things and making the game feel enjoyable. For any wrestling fan this is a must have. If you're a fan of the old fighting games, this is also a game for you. A very very good edition to any gamers collection. This will keep me busy for a long time. Well worth the money!

I would definitely recommend this game, 30 years of WrestleMania is basically like The Attitude Era from WWE 13 but I still enjoyed it and there's loads more to do on this game such as The Streak mode, you can either defend the streak or try and end it with any wrestler, I think The Streak is the best mode on here because its hard but its so challenging and fun, Universe is the same but it does have some new features on here like create a rivalry and you can even create a rivalry with managers, the roster is much better aswell it has people on there like Hulk Hogan, The Shield, John Cena, The Rock, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan etc.

Fantastic game I have to say it defiantly ticks all the criteria. Although there's always room for improvement having said that I can't wait for the next one to release.

Well i have been a English WWE fan for a pretty long time now and i have played all the WWE games what i can think of and i really enjoyed them. So no different with WWE 2K14 at first been honest i didn't enjoy it i am a big fan of the Universe Mode it didn't feel like they had changed much but more i am playing it the more i am enjoying it. Well worth the buy if you are a big wrestling fan otherwise best to wait till Christmas time for the price to drop a bit overall what i have played i would give it a strong 6/10 still could of been a lot better.
