i bought this phone because previously i has a samsung galaxy s and did not like it at all.the battery life would run low very quickly and i felt that the extra bells and whistle's weren't for me + i had a problem with syncing google accounts and couldn't access new apps without wiping the whole phone. So i decided to go with this phone.the nokia 105. What can i say.For a cheap phone this does it all.the calling is good with a good sound quality and many options to adjust various settings as well as predict text that can be just as has as smart phone once you are used to it.it comes with a handy , built in torch as well as games and an FM radio.this phone feels extremely durable and hard wearing so far and the battery life lasts for days if you are a person who can't be bothered with charging your phone 24/7. This phone is great for anyone really.I would recomend it for a first time phone user , older people or anyone who wants excellent value for money phone

This isn't my main phone for daily use which is an iPhone 4S. I bought this phone plus a Giffgaff sim card with PAYG as a phone I can use in specific situations. Those situations are holidays, cycle trips, festivals etc. In fact anywhere I don't want email and all the other stuff that fills my daily life from a phone that drains of power even if you switch off every power guzzling app as they appear to restart themselves for reasons beyond me. I recently did a 3-week cycle trip so needed to take the iPhone charger but because I was wild camping I took along a battery booster for those days where I was away from a power source. This just added to the weight so this purchase is a direct consequence of deciding that there are times less is significantly more. Last year I was at the T in the Park a music festival and it seemed a good many people spent much of their time worrying over phone battery time. How about this phone for those very occasions? Facebook can wait people! 28 day minimum battery time seems pretty good to me and the phone can be lost at almost no cost. The phone works fine and in fact works a whole lot better than an iPhone with regards the basic need of making a call and holding a conversation without the need to redial 2-3 times. It is extremely light and is comfortable in my pocket so it scores on so many points. Follow up: just finished a cycle trip where all I took was this phone, no cable, chargers etc. and all fine. In fact Giffgaff has a great signal as it's O2. I did buy a spare battery from Amazon for £5 but didn't need it. Did the same for the camera and no problem there either.

what else can i say? it is a classic brick nokia. it is nearly impossible to break, and has the same UI and functionality as the world famous 3310 did, and many other models after it using the same interface.

this is not a 3G capable phone so you will not be able to use an H3G sim card, but any other should be fine.

does what it sets out to do, call quality is perfect, battery life is the best you'll ever get on any new phone nowadays whether it's a smartphone or not, and the torch is bright enough to check a broken down engine on the hard shoulder in the middle of the night. it's a nokia... it will serve you well, and will probably still work even after you have died from old age.

I bought this as a secondary phone for taking out on the razzle, or when my smartphone dies. I love it.
- Small and very light, but not too small to use (remember the 8390?)
- You wont care if you loose it, buy another one.
- Excellent battery, I can't say how long as mine is still on full bars after a couple of days. Signal also seems much stronger than my HTC One.

Negatives:
- Takes standard SIM card, so you need an adapter to swap out your micro sim. Can be fiddly to remove a SIM with adapter.
- It has no memory, so will loose time, date etc when off and you will have to store contacts on your SIM card. so only 1 number per name, which is a SIM card limitation.
- Screen is a bit low res, but perfectly useable.
- You wont be surfing the web, in fact it has no 3G. But that is not why you buy this phone.

As long as you are aware what you are buying, this is a fantastic phone for taking on wet walks, camping, clubbing, festivals etc. No worries about it running out of power the whole time.

Cheap all round good phone. Easy to use, quick to turn on, has a good variety of games including snake. Has a torch which isn't that great but will help you get your key in the lock and be turned on easy. Includes all the features of a standard phone: calender, alarm, profiles, calculator etc

The phone is built very solidly and in black it doesn't look as cheap as it actually is.

Compared to the Nokia 100, the 105 has a smaller screen but for a £20 phone I suspect you will not care/ notice. Everything else seems to be a one up on the 100.

The 105 has a longer battery life than the 100, with 35 days standby time. In practice it has lived up to the insane standby time, making it a great purchase.

The 105 also comes with a splash proof and dust proof keypad adding to its durability and hardiness.

It has other useful features such as an in built flashlight, a radio with fm transmitter, a speaking clock, and a hole for a lanyard strap.

For calling and texting this cannot be beaten as the call quality and reliability have been perfect and the keyboard has a nice tactile response to it.

The 105 even shares some notable design aspects from the Nokia Lumia smartphone range.

Overall, the 105 is not only everything I was hoping it would be, but also everything I needed it to be. I am surprised that Nokia makes such a relatively large profit margin on this phone: very cleverly done!

I am amazed at the quality of this little gem of a phone. They are pretty much giving it away for £20. Only trouble is that it is very hard to track down a decent case for it as it is so new.

Great battery life seriously. Even if you already have a day to day phone, this would make a perfect little emergency phone for the backpack or the glove compartment if you are going somewhere a long way from civilisation (somewhere with network coverage of course!).

Beautiful stylings and feels strong in the hand too. Hard to believe how they make them for £20.

Can't fault this phone as it is exactly what I was looking for, i.e. a small, robust, basic phone to replace my previous Nokia handset, which was not so resilient to knocks, and this one does the basics as well as that one did AND has a very good FM radio and a flashlight to boot! My only criticism is that Nokia provide an inadequately-illustrated instruction booklet and I had to view a video on You Tube before I knew how to insert the SIM card from my old phone into this new one! Once I had seen the video, it was a simple matter to slide the SIM the right way round (to be fair this is shown on the inside of the phone) under the holding strip of metal with the contact part of the SIM facing downwards. All in all, however, an excellent purchase for anyone who wants a phone to be a phone and would use a tablet to access the Internet on the move (and/or take photos) and a small digital camera to capture the moment.

I am using this phone as a go between my old phone and a new one. My old phone broke and the phone company said that it could not replace straight away. So whilst waiting I ordered one of these great devices and have been greatly satisfied. The packaging is as if you bought it from a Nokia store, and as per usual the device is completely life proof. I have never doubted Nokia's great designs for life proof phones and they definitely didn't Let me down this time! Highly recommended for a go between phone, and also a great starter phone for children.

In short; Great phone, Great packaging, excellent price!
