I wanted to read this book for a long time. I had it on my wish list and had to finally break down and get it. I was so excited about it, I bought the paperback so I could savor every page. I wasn't as pleased as I thought I would be.

There is a lot of action in this book. The first chapter is a doozy. Excellent writing here and it certainly draws the reader in, but after that there was a fight scene on every other page (probably an exaggeration but there was a lot). So if you like action go for it. But in my opinion the story (the reason you read a book) was lost. The synopsis made me think that there was archaeology involved and I was really excited to know that Gobekli Tepe was in it. But I if it was, I can't remember reading anything about it, in fact I can't remember anything but the fight scenes. No story to share with anyone. Such a missed opportunity. All in all it was a good book, made better because it was a well-written debut novel. But I don't think I'll be reading any of the other books in the series.

The premise was very interesting and I enjoyed the references to the book of enoch but overall I found it a little disappointing. The ending seemed a little rushed and there were too many 'experts'. The security expert, the geniuses, the martial arts expert and so on. It could have been a much better book if the characters were a little more 'flawed'. Having said that, it's the first in a series so maybe it's just setting us up for something better (I hope). Also it was a special offer on kindle so it was entertaining enough for the price

This is a gripping, rip roaring, fast action story and a clever blend of themes. There IS bad language in it, but mostly from one character who, to be honest, was under more stress at the time than most of us would be able to handle. I have read the author's notes at the back but there are still typos and spell checker errors in the text (also in 'Fact or Fiction') - irritating but I was enjoying the tale too much to stop and note down each one. Now, I must stop chatting and get on with reading the Belial Library......NOW!

I enjoyed this book. I do not agree that the story was spoiled by the "Bond villain" complained of by other reviewers. Ok the plot may be a little far fetched, but no more so than other books of this genre. I will likely read the rest of the series. 4 stars, because for some reason I am not positive I will read the rest. I think maybe the predictability of the plot let it down. Worth a read definitely. 5 stars, I think not.

I found this book exciting, original, different......I could go on, but I guess you have now realised I loved it.

I would suggest that the book is properly edited though, as I did find several mistakes - wrong words used, incomplete words, a sentence not finished etc. This was supposed to be edited, but needs a thorough job done.

As a first book, Ms Brady has definitely delivered a winner. Archeology, crime, action and a little bit of romance, it kept me riveted to the seat. I am looking forward to reading the Belial Library and finding out more about Henry! If you like Mathew Reilly or David Gibbins, then this is one for you.

Excellent plot line and I love how she ties in facts with religion and conspiracies.the ending did however seem a little rushed and the characters a little too perfect.she started to create the character flaws in laney but didn't go far enough in my opinion. Worth the read and look forward to the new one.

Up at a really enjoyable thriller with a strong touch of science-fiction. It also touches on all sorts of accurate information from history as well as rumours and hypotheses not to mention his own imagination and makes a very interesting story out in all. I would like to read the following book too

I'm always looking for books like this, facts mixed with a good dollop! of fiction, romance, mystery and "bloody mayhem".
The characters where good, but I feel there is more to come from them, which is why I've bought the next two books...can't wait to get started.

This is a good book for quick read holidays and looks like the series will be good also characters well defined with some elements still a mystery get the series as it would last for the 10 days shame kindle don't do a bigger screen but that's not the writers fault
