5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Gift Idea, 29 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Men Rock Double Edge Razor Shaving Gift Set (Personal Care)
Just bought this item as a Christmas gift for my partner.

Quick delivery and the box that the set is presented in is really classy too.

I did have a look inside myself, just to double check everything was in order. The razor is really lovely - it's heavy enough (but not too heavy!) and, all in all, looks like a pretty fancy piece of equipment. There's the free blades too - you are not the only ones to not appreciate the whole "batteries not included" scenario.

Obviously this has not been used yet, but I believe there won't be any bad comments about it when the time comes.

Great job! Would definitely recommend.

Just got interested in 'old school' shaving and found this kit. The plus side is that you get pretty much everything you need. The brush is probably horse hair, but it's soft and seems to produce a fine lather. The cream smells nice. The razor has a nice heft to it, but I'm still getting the hang of the whole thing. The blades supplied seem so-so.

Great piece of kit. My only criticism is the brush not being badger hair which feel much better. Brilliant prive though and this item can be found at other retailer for much more so great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars good, 8 May 2014

The main body of evidence for such an allegation surfaced after a piece of correspondence, translated from French which is the only language Blucher and Wellington corresponded in, seemed to suggest that this was the case. The key accusation being raised was that Wellington had failed to recognise the promises he and Blucher had made together in relation to supporting each other should one army be attacked, promises that Wellington had reassured to Blucher on the morning of the 16th June. Several accounts of what was said in the meeting between Wellington and Blucher exist which give differing interpretations of the Duke’s words to Blucher, this study will determine which source is the most credible and whether the Duke did intend to deceive his ally. The deception lies in the fact the Prussians were not prepared to accept the battle at Ligny without explicit assurance from Wellington that they would have the support of his army, Wellington seemingly provided all the assurances he could which meant Blucher would fight.
