5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
Beatiful. Majestic. Awe-inspiring. These are just a few of the words which can be used to describe this LP. This band immerse themselves totally in their surroundings - the beautiful landscapes of Iceland - and use it as their inspiration.

every other review of this album is spot on, so I won't make this any longer than it needs to be. One of the most...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not their best
There is alot of sitting around with anticipation that something wonderful is going to happen and some times is does and other times it doesn't. Takk and Hvarf/heim this is not but it is still good and well worth buying. Best tracks are Olsen Olsen and Agaetis Byjun.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lost in translation?, 11 Oct 2000
Intrigued by press articles and reviews, and with eclectic international tastes I sat through this entire album waiting patiently for it to spark into life to be totally disappointed. OK, things improve a little in places but each track unfolds on essentially predictable lines, atmospheric beginning giving way to tremulous vocals and plodding rhythms before a woolly and entirely unconvincing climax. I may not know what he is singing about-the fact is I never cared. Devoid of emotion-neither truly gloomy or uplifting, without musical excitement i was left like Iceland. Cold

1.0 out of 5 stars If you could hear paint dry, this would be it!, 7 Sep 2000
By A Customer
An extremely whiney album from the very beginning right through to the last dire note! I thought this on my first listen, but as you do, I listened to it a bit more, still no joy! The music doesn't go anywhere, it's like you are listening to the same dull roar over and over. Just don't bother, I wish I hadn't!

Not the one I wanted cos I was looking for a particular song. Suppose it's ok if you like a kind of euro meditation pop music.
