Frank (Daniel Bonjour) lives the American dream as a strip club owner and cocaine dealer. He has an innocent white bread girlfriend Ashley (Cinthya Bornacelli) who attends college and stays separate from his work. Frank has a partner Eddie (Gianni Capaldi) and Frank desires to take his operation to the next level where he works for Vincent (Vinnie Jones). Unfortunately his crimes do not go unnoticed. He is being followed by DEA agent Maxwell (Dolph Lundgren) and associates. A dirty doughnut eating cop (Randy Couture) is added to the mix.

The plot lacks depth and complexity. This is a straight forward crime/drama/thriller/action film. The talents of Dolph Lundgren are under utilized. Oh wait he does rough up a guy for information...only to brush him off and let him go. We needed Dolph for this? They could have used Betty White.

The sound track was pretty decent and of course Vinnie Jones does a good job in his limited role. The main problem with this feature was that Frank, the main character, was not someone we could root for. About 1/3 of the way through the film he gives a useless narration on the drug industry and the economy which never really ties into the film.

A lower tier rental. Dolph fans can skip this one and not miss anything. Also released under the title "Ambushed."

Parental Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity.

This is a crime drama, not an action movie, despite the presence of Dolph Lundgren on the cover. Lundgren and Vinnie Jones take supporting roles, even though the cover suggests they are the leads. Both actors have about 15 minutes of screen time in the whole movie. The same applies to Randy Couture. The leads are a couple of unknowns.

It feels like a TV movie. There is very little action, just a lot of sitting and talking. There is some annoying handheld camera work and split screen that is at least 10 years out of fashion. On the positive side at least it was filmed in the US and not in Eastern Europe.

Dolph Lundgren and Vinnie Jones signed on for three movie with the same director (also Blood of Redemption and Puncture Wounds) which does't seem promising. This is one of Lundgren's worst efforts, a lethargic crime drama which fans can safely skip.

I bought this film mainly because I am an action/thriller fan and secondly because it features Dolph Lundgren and Vinnie Jones. The film starts off well with a drug deal gone wrong and some bloody violence. However it then just doesn't do really anything until the final scenes (which are good). There's a few fights and a couple of gun shots but that's about it. The film advertises Jones and Lundgren but both barely do anything despite both acting well. The two main characters are both unknowns but they act ok. The film is ok to watch if you don't pay a lot and have nothing to do.

Not a bad B movie, the plot is simple and straight forward, the sound track is good, my main problem with this movie it that the three people I wanted to see in the movie Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones, and Randy Couture are more side characters in the movie. Though they do their parts well or at least true to form. Vinnie plays the top of the shelf drug lord who does his own executions. Dolph is a DEA agent looking to take the bad guys down. Randy plays a dirty cop in it for everything he can get.

Frank (Daniel Bonjour) has a plan move to L.A. make his money with his best friend/enforcer Eddie (Gianni CapalidIi), retire, and marry his innocent girlfriend. The problem is in the underworld getting out is difficult and getting out alive is almost impossible. Frank and Eddie are trying to move up the drag ladder, Frank make a bold move that get him noticed by big league player. The DEA, the brutal drug lord, and a cop looking for a kickback. The thing that made this movie a 4 star from a 3 star is that they did not try to make it more than it is, the plot is straight forward, no over complicating twists. Making this an entertaining action drama.

Pleasantly surprised with this movie, wasn't the action film I thought it was gonna be, but instead a crime drama which was slightly clever. Good performances all round although I felt Dolph was slightly lazy with his fight sequences but he still performed fantastic as always.

The cover screams action movie, so was expecting more 80's style action from the hero's that time forgot.

Instead we have a pointless gangster film which seems to be the love child of pulp fiction and snatch but fails on both counts to be as clever or get the dark humour right.

There are a few laughs to be had, but you are mostly laughing at it not with it.

You know its an awful film with unlikable characters when the only saving grace is vinnie Jones. Jones plays it safe with his usual over the top hard man image and probably raises the only genuine enjoyable moments of the film.

Dolph lundgren who we know is capable of winning audiences over with his crazy performances, actually looks half asleep making this and the odd fight scene looks tired and lazy...

If you are looking for expendables style magic, then look elsewhere...
