This is a stunning book, the projects created are true works of art and I would never have thought of using polymer clay in such a way. The author takes you through the colours of the spectrum showing you how to mix them correctly and how to mix colours that flow. She gives exercises every step of the way to help you progress. The designs are stunningly beautiful and look very complex but with practice they are achievable. I wouldn't say this is a book for beginners but anyone interested in creating something totally different with polymer clay will love this book.

I've been working in polymer clay for almost three years now. I'm not an artist and have no formal training, and despite the fact that I've always had quite a developed creative streak, when creating in clay I've often felt the lack of a formal background in basic color technique. Well, no more. This book is just beyond words! It has explanations and exercises for people at all levels and gets you thinking about color in a totally new way. I'm thrilled and would absolutely recommend this book.

Wanting to get back into polymer clay after some 20 years absence,I thought this just might be the book to get me started - and I was right. I knew I needed some sort of structured "course" to set me on my way, and this is exactly what this book delivers. A series of exercises, each building on the previous one, take you along your own personal colour journey, enabling you to identify your own colour palette, and, crucially, equipping you to mix exactly the polymer clay colour you want so you don't have to rely on the colours supplied by the manufacturers. There are some fun projects too, that consolidate what you have just learned (and they are all lovely, nothing "naff"). This book will give you a good grounding in colour theory, show you some interesting techniques using polymer clay, and inspire you with the showcased work of some very talented artists at the top of their game. Also included are worksheets to copy and laminate and use in conjunction with the exercises. They also include a very helpful colour chart showing all the polyclays currently available from every manufacturer.

I've only been working in polymer clay for about 6 months but I still found this book to be really helpful in expanding my horizons. at first read it can seem intimidating but it is so beautiful that with perseverance it comes into its own. The whole business of colour is so well laid out that you want to slow down and work through the ideas for yourself. The projects are srretching for a beginner but I found that helpful. It provides ideas that can help you to enhance your skills and progress - so many books just consolidate your knowledge and this expands it. Wonderful!

I wanted to develop my polymer clay technique for jewellery. I was attracted by the bright colours on the front of this book, as they inspired me.I couldn't wait to start! Creation bursts out of the pages! Inside I found details and techniques to blend colours in a very organised manner, very helpful to start off with. The potential to see the colours come alive for myself is really exciting! So, if you want to start blending and understand it well enough to build up your own unique style from this, I KNOW you won't be disappointed.

I bought this book a few weeks ago, being fairly new to polymer clay jewellery. I find I just come back to it over and over again - the colour theory is wonderful and simply explained, and the projects are to die for. I've bought lots of books on the subject of polymer clay, and this is definitely the best of the lot!

This is an inspiring book! I love colour and am not afraid to use it, definitly not a beige person! Colour lifts your mood and makes you feel happy. This book explains colour relationships so well, and gives you the confidence to try new ideas. I use it as a constant reference, and find the pictures of expert polymer clay artists' work inspiring. A great book to add to your collection, you will find yourself referring to it over and over again!

I love colour and I love working with Sculpey clay because of it's wide range if colours and accents but this book has opened up this medium so much! It has inspired me to have a go mixing colours to find my own preferred pallet. There are lots of exercises that help you to understand colour mixing and coordination with this medium. This is just what I needed to expand my polymer clay knowledge base. There are several inspiring projects to follow and they could be easily adapted to meet your own colour and design ideas. This book is fast becoming a favourite.
