Was given the kindle paper white as a gift and I have to say it really is brilliant! I have always been a little apprehensive in terms of not having the actual book in my hand but since using the kindle that has disappeared! I look forward to testing it out on holiday where now as long as you have wifi you have the worlds biggest library at your finger tips! Would throughly recommend even for the infrequent reader like myself!

Got this as a replacement for my original keyboard kindle. Thetes two things that prevent 5 stars: Firstly I miss the side buttons for turning pages; it's not just as easy to read with my left hand as I have to tap the right side to turn over; secondly the screen ( although I love the backlight) feels gritty. Maybe because I'm used to the smoothness of the old kindle and my phone and iPad...Overall though, I'm pleased with it.

I'm not by any accounts a reader, by 22 years of age I've read 2 books. Within 2 weeks of having the kindle I've read 3! All magnificent in their own right, I've laughed and been shaken by thought provoking horror. Feelings I didn't believe we're possible from reading words off a page (or screen in my case). It makes reading so much more accessible and you can download many classics for free! Strongly recommend purchasing one!

I upgraded to the Paperwhite after I broke the screen on my last kindle by sitting on it (don't ask!) The inbuilt light feature is so brilliant - no more falling asleep with the light on. The touchscreen is great too, I was worried it might be too sensitive and I'd end up turning pages when I didn't want to but no such problems. Battery life doesn't seem to be effected by the added features either. All in all I can't fault it!

Bit reluctant to change from paperback to a gadget as it did not seem right. How wrong was I, this is perfect and the clarity of words makes it easy to read no matter what the room brightness. I suffer with poor eyesight and found it challenging on occasions with paperback but this is excellent and strongly recommended. Also freedom of greeting books straightaway with a a large selection. I which the Kindle was bought earlier.

If you use your Kindle JUST as an e-reader then buy a Kindle Paper White. It is so light weight and the battery literally lasts for weeks.
When I used the Kindle App on my tablet the battery had failed whilst I was sitting in an airport waiting to go on holiday.
I have just come back from a holiday where I used my new Paper White every day in daylight and during the night. I still haven't recharged it. Its great.

Having used the original Kindle for a few years I was recently forced to purchase a new one ( after dropping and smashing my old faithful). I have to say I was concerned at the changeover and where my library would all go. Not to worry it was all there , such an easy process on setting up and retrieving all my books. The Paperwhite is of course smaller, I love it, and the built light is brilliant. Cannot recommend it enough .

Better than my original Kindle by nature of the integrated light. Had my previous one for years until screen went.
