This is my second try at reviewing this book. I left a review here last week, but for some reason it hasn't appeared. Hopefully this one will make it.
I really liked the original idea behind Frankenstein, Mary Shelley's novel, now considered one of the cornerstones of modern horror. So the idea behind Iain Lowson's Darl Harvest series was intriguing.
He managed to get a number of game writers who are also excellent story tellers and prose writers to work on it, so it had a lot going for it from the outset. The stories vary in quality of writing, as is often the case with anthologies, but on the whole it's a nice exploration of the theme. Worth a look if you like the idea of Steampunk horror.
