5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe my favourite 2 albums from the EUROPE - Bag Of Bones ...
Maybe my favourite 2 albums from the EUROPE - Bag Of Bones the title track of the latest release took me by surprise - I wasn't convinced by this track to begin with but now it is one of my favourite Europe songs of all time!!! Other highlights are the light and fun/ short and sweet 'Drink and a Smile', the majestic guitar solo crescendo of 'Firebox' and ballsy blues...

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened with Europe?
The guys from Europe were masters in writing good songs in the 80's and in the beginning of the 90's. What happened? I have followed these guys for 30 years and been to some very good concerts, the last one in Barcelona in 2013. Sadly they have completely lost their skills of writing good songs. I have also followed John Norums solo career, and I can hear a lot of his...

Maybe my favourite 2 albums from the EUROPE - Bag Of Bones the title track of the latest release took me by surprise - I wasn't convinced by this track to begin with but now it is one of my favourite Europe songs of all time!!! Other highlights are the light and fun/ short and sweet 'Drink and a Smile', the majestic guitar solo crescendo of 'Firebox' and ballsy blues swagger of 'Not Supposed to Sing the Blues'. Tongue is cheek 'Doghouse' brings out the Europe sense of humour to lighten the mood. A classic essential of a Europe album.....

Last Look At Eden has been on my list for ages but I'm really glad now that it didn't happen because I've managed to secure this nice double album package for only seven quid. The title track and 'New Love In Town' are just brilliant and 'Gonna Get Ready' is another song to enthuse about. The rest of the music on here did not come easy but several of the tracks have gone up in my estimation recently so I have now reached the conclusion that this is rather a good album. I must admit I did not fancy Bag Of Bones much when it was released last year but 'Not Supposed To Sing The Blues', 'Doghouse', and 'Drink And A Smile', have all been on repeat play and so eased my fears. Sometimes it takes time but I doubt if anything else on this album will get much play off me in future. I have given this package a four star rating purely on the strength of the best tracks.

I have also followed John Norums solo career, and I can hear a lot of his writing in the latest Europe songs which doesn't do them any good.
Last look at eden has af few okay songs but bag of bones has none. With the new material, Europe doesn't attract any new fans and probably looses some of their old. Europe became a sad sad story. Their new sound is good, but the songs sucks - sorry!
