This book provides a clear and comprehensive overview of the key developments in fiscal management, at macro and micro levels, ovedr the last couple of decades, and the key challenges facing public adminsitrations in the developed and developing worlds. The chapters are set within an insightful and coherent framework which develops three lenses through which to consider the issues - information, processes and rules. I and colleagues in the UK National Audit Office have already found powerful insights from this timely and excellent work.
