1.0 out of 5 stars The usual set of inaccurate information, 9 Feb. 2014
By
This review is from: Beginner Soap Making: Simple Homemade Recipes (Kindle Edition)
The use of the words "cold pressed" tell you everything you need to know about this book. It shows very clearly that the author doesn't have the first idea what they are actually talking about. For the information of anyone reading, the term should be "cold process" which reflects the fact that commercial soap is made by a high temperature process whereas hand made soap is generally made by a method that does not involve additional heat. "Lilac oil" tries to suggest that it's an essential oil but it is not possible to extract an essential oil from lilac and lilac fragrances will be artificial fragrances. Those things alone are sufficient to cast serious doubt on the accuracy of the rest of the book.
