5.0 out of 5 stars Ground-breaking in its subject and conclusions, 1 July 2012
A must read exploration into the nature of autistic spectrum issues which takes us on a journey about perceptions and autism into the unexpected area of extra sensory perception via some interesting research findings, which occurred during speech therapy. Bogdashina is scholarly, brave and honest and her research may one day profoundly affect how we understand autism and lead to a greater understanding about the human condition in general. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the autistic spectrum better.

5.0 out of 5 stars She walks the line, 17 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A courageous and fascinating book which manages to combine meticulous research across a far wider range of disciplines than is usual in a psychology book.
An in-depth exploration and understanding of the huge range of Autistic Spectrum Perceptions and how they interface with the neuro-typical world. The author does not avoid the less 'mainstream' aspects of the subject, nor does she tumble over into surmise and generalisation.
By far the best book I've ever read on this fascinating subject.

A REMARKABLE PUBLICATION FOR ITS PARTICULAR UNDERSTANDING AND EXPLANATION OF 'UNUSUAL PHENOMENA'
EXPERIENCED BY SOME ON THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM. THE CONSTRUCTION AND EDITING OF THIS BOOK NEEDS ATTENDING ALONG WITH A CLEARER DISTINCTION BETWEEN PERCEPT-CONCEPT-INTERPRETATION...I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY ONE INTERESTED IN THE WONDERFUL WORLD AS SEEN BY SOME AUTISTICS. THANK YOU TO Dr BOGDASHINA.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book, 14 April 2015
Fantastic book. Being autistic, I found I could associate myself with many of the concepts in this book. Books like this give validation to a myriad of unexplainable feelings that are hard to convey.
