Excellent product, which uses the computers power via two USB sockets. I have no issue with the product but some dedicated software to guide its use for data transfer would have been helpful. My first attempt used windows explorer, but this took an age and was a bit of a blind process as I was not sure about progress etc and it was very slow, taking about 4 hours for 50 Gb. The caveat here is that the real issue may have been my ignorance. Work recommended image burn or Nero as helpful. I used the free version of the former and it was fantastically helpful for data, video and photo transfer. To transfer 50 gb it takes between 1 to 2 hours. I have photoshop elements which should help construct videos directly to disc but I have not tried this yet as the primary purpose is for back up at the moment. I have been told blu rays are very long lasting, decades, whereas DVD or hard drives have a finite life span or a few years.
