I have spent many a trip (hot and cold) using the standard Canon strap - big Canon letters on the outside, sticky leathery bit on the inside. After an 8hr hike in Alaska where the weight of the camera on my neck (it's an oldie but a goodie - 350D) started being more hassle than it was worth, as well as being somewhat exposed to the elements, did I decide to look for other options.

The padding is comfy and has a little pocket for additional memory cards. The length is not so long as to be onerous, but long enough to either go around your neck, or across your body (so that the padded strap is on your shoulder). I looked at a few other options which seemed less secure (plastic attachments), this fastens to the base of your camera where the tripod would go and has a metal snap hook - feels quite secure. Easily glides along the strap/swings up from the side of your body to your head for those quick shots. No issues with portrait or landscape mode (other products I looked at had an issue with portrait view - dangling attachments in the shot or view finder). I intend on using this under coats (protect the camera in dodgy London weather) where I can just swing the camera up as needed. Being a girl I usually have a handbag on my shoulder so wanted something that could go cross-body for my camera.

I was concerned the padding might be too fat to fit into my existing camera case, but no issues there. Will update this in a few months after more prolonged use, but so far am very pleased.

My strap arrived today, ordered on a Friday, here by Monday, can't be bad.
Did consider buying the the very expensive Black Rapid until I read the reviews on this, glad I didn't this seems very good piece of kit, and is plenty long enough for me (I am over 6 foot and the camera sits around belt level with strap to spare)
Only one fastener to worry about coming undone whilst in use, but with strap to spare I was able to loop it back through higher up thus giving some extra security.
The thread on the camera mount fitting was a little too long for my Canon 5D so had to file/grind it down a little to make it clamp down on the rubber washer (could of just fitted a thicker washer I suppose but decided to go down this rout instead) I am happy to say here it took some filing down as well being made of hardened metal, this is not a gripe but just a comment, I know these thing are made to suit all cameras.

Operation is smooth with the camera coming up to eye level very easly, only trailed this at home yet, but off on acuity break in a couple of weeks time so I am sure I will put it through its paces then and will report back if I have any problems.

This is a great product and excellent value. It's really comfortable to use and extremely quick to get the camera ready for the shot. It's tripod mount is real quality medal and the quick release clip with locking screw provides confidence that the camera is secure. The adjustment on the strap allows it to hang quite low or pull up high which provides flexibility when using in different situations. Convenient pocket in the strap for quick access to spare memory cards. I should have got this strap when I first bought my camera as its so much easier to use than a standard manufacturer's strap.

Quick delivery. Shoulder pad is great. The snaplocks have a good solid feel to them, smooth without rough edges. The belt is smooth too. All this contributes to good comfort.
Now the parts I did not like so much. The belt is too long. I bought it for my wife, who is quit long, but still this belt was too long to set it to an optiomal position.
Then at the first use, the washer that prevents the screwwire from dropping out of the plateau, easily dislocated, blocking the action.
Also the hole in my olympus pen epl-5 does not seem to bee deep enough, or the screw too long. This causes the holding-plateau to be still a loose fit when fully inserted. This also brings the risk of breaking the hole in the camera by attempts to overtight it. I fixed it with an extra washer on the outside - this makes the screw shorter. And I replaced the other, firstmentioned washer with a custom made one. Now works just fine.

I bought this strap based on good reviews, quick delivery well packaged, fit well. I was really pleased for 24 hours until I took it out, was out with it for around an hour and all of a sudden the strap snapped and my camera fell to the floor, smashing the attached 24 - 70 Tamron Lens. £800 down the drain!

Don't risk it like I did, pro lens gone!

I bought this strap based on good reviews,it was quickly delivered and well packaged. Its makes carrying the camera and positioning it for a shot so much easier, once adjusted, camera sits snug against hip and is very easy to access, much better than having camera sitting on chest.
My first strap had a defective karabiner,so contacted McoPlus and it was exchanged immediately - first class service

Great product, good value and well worth £10.99 compared to other straps of similar price. Metal fittings with a screw lock clip so no chance of the camera breaking away, far better than the plastic fittings on some other straps. If I have to be critical the strap could be a little longer but I am a big lad so mine is at its full adjustment.
Recommended!

It's a very comfortable sling, just as good in this respect as the expensive BlackRapid Curve, which it resembles. The tripod plate supplied is also good, since this kind of screw is more secure than a plain bolt with an eye in its head, which can come unscrewed. However, the method for fastening the strap is substandard: a sliding over-centre catch, which had been put on upside down on the sling I was sent so that it pulled open easily. A pair of these catches are used on the BlackRapid simply to prevent the strap from sliding around, not to carry weight, and in fact with this sling you also get a pair, but one of them is expected to bear the load of the camera. The catches don't have proper pivots, just little plastic tags that fit into holes, which could easily snap if overloaded. I took my sling to bits and reassembled it with both catches on the same side to take the weight -- and right way up, of course. But I still wouldn't trust it for my SLR with a 500 mm lens. I'd recommend it for a medium-sized camera, but nothing larger. LATER: have discovered that if I thread the strap through the sliding clip in a different way, it becomes more secure and the catches no longer have to bear the weight. But that is not the way the clip was threaded when I got the sling. In fact it was assembled wrong in two ways, presenting the user with a bit of a puzzle.

I bought this strap primarily to use with my 7D with 70-200 attached using one side for the camera and the other attached to the lens foot. I am disabled and use crutches to get about and find my camera swings about placing huge strain on the lens attachment ring. This new setup works very well once I adjusted the straps, however, there are some problems.

The first issue is with the sprung washer used to keep the attaching bolt in place on the plate, which fixes to the base of the camera. The sprung clip washer falls off and will not stay in place around the bolt collar.

The second issue is the length of the bolts, which is a little long for the lens foot so attached some self adhesive felt used to go on the bottom of furniture to not mark wooden floors, which did the trick. The plates still slip around to find there own position even when tightened as much as I dare without causing damage.

The third issue is the carabiner (karabiner), which is very awkward to disconnect from the foot plate, which sticks out at a 90* angle and uncomfortable using it as I have described as it sticks into my body. (I will have to apply some padding)

All in all I guess it is not bad for the price I paid, which is why I gave it 4 ****
