Boost Your Metabolism - I'm boosting mine. As this book points out, being over 40, I can tell that my metabolism has slowed, as I used to be able to eat any amount of anything with no effect. Sadly this is no longer the case and I am horrified to discover within, that this could worsen, year on year! So if, like me, you are looking for a good intro into the mysteries...

It may be a relatively inexpensive book, but don't waste your money. You can find much, much more information online, and it won't take you any more time considering how little valuable information there is in this short book. There are 36 pages, but most of the material is vague descriptions spaced out with large font. And there are several filler pages. If you typed out the book in a document, it would only take up a handful of pages.
It's not even reliable writing, considering that one recommendation the author made was to combine carbohydrates and proteins, which is one of the wort food combination options you can make for your metabolism as the body processes these two food groups quite differently.
In short: I feel I was duped. Buy a real book about metabolism if you want to learn something substantial, and if you want a quick primer, do a google search.

The real name of "Nicolas Styles" is actually Nicos Stylianou who is a Greek Cypriot living in Nicosia and the photo used in "About the author" is not of the author. That probably explains much of the slightly strange English he uses at times. He has published lots of similar booklets which he sells on the internet, usually with fairly wacky views about the health benefits of this, that or the other. He also runs lots of websites with links selling all manner of things.

If you want a book with sensible and authoritative health advice then you would would be best advised to buy one written by someone with genuine and relevant health qualifications. There are plenty of them. You are likely to get better advice from the oddball sitting next to you on the bus than from this booklet.

I didn't find this book particularly helpful. It may appeal to a novice first time dieter who is looking to change their life style choices, no quick fixes here, but the author does say its a slow process achieved with perseverance.
