5.0 out of 5 stars from the top of the batch, 19 Jan. 2006
This review is from: Move (Audio CD)
This is the 5th album from Freak Kitchen, and one of the best. The opening track will have you screaming along and the zany solos will have you on your knees. Like all the Freak albums, this one is full of strangely catchy harmonies and unusuall song progressions, and yes.. demon guitar playing. The 2 new band members shouldn't put you off buying this album because fit right in, plus they are amazing!
All in all this album will have you hooked and begging for more!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Freaking best, 2 July 2006
This review is from: Move (Audio CD)
This is one of the best bands on the planet.

His guitar playing is as good as the best guitar players out there (malmsteen, vai, satriani, Eddie Van Halen ect.)

He is also the singer, and he's voice is fantastic.

I seen them live, and Mattias is playing his amazing stuff while singing! I thought it was impossible ;)

His lyrics is the best I heard.

Eksample from chorus first song: (Try Propaganda Pie, have a slice of lie, propaganda pie)

Do yourself a favour and buy this fantastic album, and all the other's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best rock album I've bought this year., 9 Aug. 2005

What a great album! Musically excellent, lyrically fun. Quite experimental in terms of the guitar and some of the rhythmic ideas. This hasn't been out of the CD player much in the past 4 months.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Freaked, 4 July 2013

My first intro to Mattias Eklundh was FREAK GUITAR & THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED,two brilliant albums. If you've only heard the vocals on Happy Hour and thought Eklundh had a reasonable voice then you need to hear this album. He has on of the best voices in rock as far as I'm concerned.Powerful, melodic, smooth and at the same time pleasant to listen to.There are also plenty of great backing harmonies from Eklundh too.On top of that, some of the tracks he sings over don't have straight forward time signatures so live playing wont be easy.As expected his guitar playing is flawless and brilliant.
My simple imagination tells me that this is what Heavy Metal would sound like if it was arranged and produced by Freddy Mercury. Thats not an insult, just the way my head works.I'll be getting more Freak Kitchen in the near future.
This is a brilliant album.
