This song is so cool. So cool that some geezer that nobody knows called Marvin Gaye has sampled it on his 'Got to Give it up' single that I heard in a local dancehall last weekend. I have been a long standing fan of Robin and really love his comments as a panellist on X factor and other talent shows. but the best thing about this song is the video. There is just so much cool smoking and Thickie keeps on blowing smoke into birds faces. So cool! i am going to try that down the Arndale shopping centre sometime. Birds just love it -especially the older ones. Anyway someone at college told me that there was a special version of the video available on the internet. So i tracked it down and looked forward to seeing some more super smoking scenes. I got some tissues shut my bedroom door and started to watch it on the Apple Mac that mummy had bought me for Christmas. Imagine my surprise when half way through the video, my little sister appeared in the raw! She was gyrating on a bicycle in front of the singer from The Daft Punk Band. I didn't know that she got up to that sort of thing. After all she's got her GCSE resits to think about! If i knew about her video work I would have got her to get me Robin's autograph. Suddenly to my dismay, Daddy entered the room and caught sight of sis in the buff. Without hesitation he picked up my New York Yankees baseball bat and pulverized my Apple Mac to 99.000 pieces. This is a crying shame because my Sociology homework on Germaine Greer was on that machine and now I have got to do it all over again.

ok it's sexist and the original video is shocking. I love all the imitation videos taking the mickey - feminist version, cougar version. very funny. but really it's a great tune so I had to get it for posterity and being on vinyl, well that's just plain sexy.

A great summer tune that is just a load of fun. The video is great too! The single is somewhat different to the normal Robin Thicke style but it is one of those tunes that just becomes ingrained in your brain. Great entertainment.

It's the sound of the summer. Once it's in your head, there it will stay. The hypnotic almost intoxicating pulse of the beat is what should be booming out of your speakers in the hot clime.
