4.0 out of 5 stars One of the finest songwriters ever, 20 Oct. 2014
This review is from: Six Classic Albums [Audio CD] Ewan Maccoll (Audio CD)
Many of Ewan MacColl's greatest songs, and his excellent covers of traditional material. MacColl is surely one of the finest songwriters of the 20th century, and here you get to enjoy his wonderful way with words, his singing style charged with drama and expression, as well as his scholarly interest in such things as children's playground rhymes and songs. Brilliant.

Wonderful to hear a lot of the MacColl classics - with the benefit of his wife Peggy Saeger on banjo and vocals in some of the tracks
